The AMD Driver Thread

That's okay then! Now they really just need to hot fix the rest back in. There's no reason to remove these and rely on the MS alternatives

I heard they in the process adding all these into Radeon Settings, reason they might be gone from there maybe?? Colour Temp was added couple weeks back into Radeon settings just not sure about the rest.

Matt said he'd pass on the suggestions for the Gamma settings as they simply wanted people to use the Windows controls.
Hopefully they listen to feedback and add it all back in.

@AMDMatt you quoted me, but you didnt answer anything about WattMan
In the older cards? 300 series and 200?

It wont happen. older GPUs dont have the BIOS power states the 480 has.

From AMDpete
It is for the new RX 480 GPUs only currently. The new cards also have different power states which older cards do not have in their GPU BIOS which means there would be somewhat less control if the feature was made available for other GPUs.

I think I nearly bricked one of my Fury X's with an unstable / unwise / not good overclock I have 2x in CrossFireX I tried copying AMDMatt's settings +50 power slider, 1125 core / 545 memory with +36mv and it did not work out, I managed to get a RSOD on BF4 and booted to only one card (master) being recognized I re-flashed both bioses back to default and it fixed the problem...... whoops .... skating on thin ice, I think thats enough tweaking for me ... I'm bad at overclocking.

CPU or Memory overclocked? RSOD usually points towards that. Those OC settings might not be stable on all cards.

Indeed yes, the CPU is an overclocked 6700K using the GA-Z170X-G1 gaming gigabyte on f8i bios the preset is gigabytes 4.5ghz profile with all the C states disabled, memory is corsair dominator ddr4 3600mhz 16gb using XMP1 profile

Ive not used AMD drivers for sometime.

I have two displays (different resolutions) in extended mode

How do I change which display is the #1 primary/priority screen? so all the desktop items and games start up on the monitor to my right.

Edit. I found the option under windows display properties, strange that its not an option within crimson (same as setting frequency is done under windows) as Nvidia has all the options under its driver interface.

Get this weird grid problem on DOOM, using the 16.3s.

Guess updating to the latest ones will fix it ?, if so, i'll do that when i get around to playing it, as on with other games at present :p

Crimson removed those options from the interface.

I raised this issue internally a while back.

Have you enabled Anisotropic Filtering in Radeon Settings? If so, disable it and that should resolve the issue. Failing that DDU & update your drivers to 16.6.2.

hi guys i need help with my new PC and most importantly AMD R9 390X GPU

basically everytime i try and load Ark from steam i get black screens and a message to say my graphics driver has failed and had to reset,

the PC is a brand new build - maximus hero 8 MB, i5 6600k CPU, however i am using a riser cable from the PCIe slot 1 (16x) into the card. i am lost now at what i can do next

so after installing loads of various drivers and programs etc, i went into safe mode and used a program called DDU to uninstall everything relating to the GPU i then used the Intel graphics driver from the disc that came with the GPU, (which i hadnt done before now) once that installed ok restarted pc then downloaded crimson 16.2 (as stated as the latest driver for Win10 64 bit)

installed everything that it offered and then restarted, the graphics is fine during normal use (like now) but its only when the GPU is under load i.e loading the startup for ark that it dies, ive have had the GPU running in my old PC with water cooling which was a gigabyte board and an i5 the only major difference is that my old pc was running DDR3 this new build is on DDR4 (not sure if that makes a difference)

i have also flashed the bios on the board to the latest version from ASUS

is there anything i havent done do you think? or something i should try

any help would be much appreciated thanks
