The AMD Driver Thread

Gamma can be changed in display colour calibration. If you want the old settings back, you'll need to go back to older drivers.

I wana be able to change Gamma with a slider, while playing and streaming DayZ i need to adjust it in seconds and not go through that rubbish just to turn it up and down.. come on man u know it used to be there so why has it been removed?

This is getting really frustrating.

Justy have it open on desktop and switch between it? Higher and lower it has needed.

One step forward two steps back with AMD. Display settings should be in the driver/software.

Yeah so much for having all the settings in one place.. what happened to that with this transition they talked about? Well im gona reinstall 16.4.2, cant rely on AMD to fix or put anything back in anytime soon..

Proper let down by AMD for leaving out something so simple :(

Now I already regret ordering a 390X, and it hasn't even arrived yet.

I use the Drivers to adjust my gamma in NV Control Panel and it applies it to everything, without having to suffer through the convoluted Windows rubbish; which is always messy to use and rather buggy.

Dude there is NO gamma slider at all.

Dude they is

Not nearly as nice as simply having access to so much in a single driver panel that gives percentages.

AMD needs to stop pruning featuring and utility.

Agreed should be in Driver has a slider, but they is a link to it inside the display settings of the driver.

Refresh Rate, Resolution and Gamma is all done by Windows instead now.

One can argue the Windows Gamma is better for getting better image quality because how it shows on the fly change. This isn't supposed to be used for an advantage :p

Why via Windows though? The Windows settings are a pain, and I prefer to be able to set my refresh rates per game and more all in the drivers.

Also running my desktop at 120Hz, but allowing some games to exceed that and run at 144hz.

Can you at least still change Colour deps, Output Colour Format, depth and range in the drivers?

Also the NV control panel does show Gamma and colour changes live as you move the sliders. You don't need to move them, click apply, check and so on.

These are the options using DisplayPort, Under HDMI you get more for changing pixel Format. Displayport auto uses Full range.

You really dont understand about gamma settings in Borderless Mode and needing to turn up gamma when streaming so your viewers can actually SEE whats going on.. especially in DayZ where street lights etc are non existent and everyone else and their dog is using gamma in that game, i just need to even the field.

I'll share the feedback internally, cheers folks.

Sorry but Im not gona hold my breath on that one.

This is a game changer for me and i might start to consider a 1070 when the prices come down, i just installed a 6700K, Z170 Mobo with Corsair Dominator RAM yesterday..

GPU is next on my list.

This setting needs hotfixing in asap as it will sway my decision on my GPU upgrade.

Lol Its only a slider sure be nice for a % but does it really matter if its using Windows Gamma or Driver Gamma for you needs? Its not like you looking to setup Picture perfect Gamma is it? You using it for seeing in dark scenes.

Have the Gamma open like I linked you and just Tab between them like old only this time you not going into CCC
