The AMD Driver Thread

It does list a fixed issue
"Battlefield 1™ AMD CrossFire profile updates for game launch."

That implies the profile is already there from an earlier release. I'll try it in a bit.

ah ok cool, my bad busy at work and not really thinking straight

BF1 profile was added in 16.9.2/16.10.1 and further tweaked in 16.10.2.

I'm getting nothing but crash to desktop at the moment, any time I try and make a change to the video settings, I hear the error noise from desktop and it boots me out with a DirectX error notification. Doing my flippin nut in this is.

All I want to do is change it from DX12 to DX11 and change my res, yet every time I hit apply, I get the CTD.:mad:

SPOILER]
Game is messed up man, these random DirectX errors are horrible... They badly need to patch this, what I dont understand these issues people been having since the alpha. In the Beta I was lucky to not have this happen, not so much in the full game though.

for some strange reasons my setup can't get along with drivers post 16.7.3. I get crashes in the vast majority of games (though desktop and light gaming is ok). Any thoughts? Are the default voltages in drivers post 16.7.3 lower? do i need to increase them to make sure my card pulls its weight?

My previous post below:

I spoke way too soon on these drivers. Unfortunately they've been a bit of a disaster for any graphically intensive games :/

Freshly installed 16.9.1 using DDU before (in safe mode) and have been able to play old/simple games (FTL, Deponia), but seen the following crashes on others:

- Batman: Arkham Origins - Loads to start screen, then crashes with a "Fatal Error! Address = 0xc739fd (filename not found) "
- Shadow of Mordor - Loads to start screen then "Video Device Removed or Reset"
- Dota 2 - Runs for about 5 mins, then screen freezes in Windowed mode, goes black in full screen mode (sound and controls still work)

I've now rolled back to 16.7.3 (again using DDU in between) and it's all working fine, no freezes or crashes anywhere.

Setup is a 4GB Nitro RX480, Windows 10 Pro, LG Freesync 29'' ultrawide

I don't have Gaming Evolved or any other recording software installed and the errors were received with custom fan and wattman profiles and when resetting everything back to default :/

What's the secret to actually using it? I've got 16.10.2, Radeon Settings sees BF1 and has the default crossfire profile selected, BF1 is set to Dx11 and fullscreen, but I get zero activity on my second card.

Also, water surfaces have a quite distracting shimmer whenever the camera moves.

Damn fine looking game apart from that though!

Same here!

BF1 single player crossfire working exceptionally. MP crossfire is an entirely different matter though, what a mess.

Flickering all over the place, inside buildings it's like a rave. FPS drops into the 40fps range, massive stutter and negative scaling. Why would MP be so broken whilst SP is amazing?

At work at the moment no crossfire was working last night, is this with 16.10.2 you have it working with?
