The AMD Driver Thread

Had 2 hard lockups on my MSI 290 GE today with the new driver...

So rolling back.

Where are the previous drivers? Can't seem to find them on AMD site...
 
Could be down to me running it with MSI AB + RT but I need these for the OSD + undervolting.

No biggie, I don't care for any of the new features and performance is good enough already.
 
The new drivers do look good but unfortunately I have had to roll back as I have a couple of issues on my 390.

First off, when I manually set fan speed you can hear the fan 'oscillating' between two slightly different speeds instead of running at one consistent speed, which sounds awful. This is not an issue with fans set to auto but I like to set individual fan profiles for games as the default is too aggressive and noisy. As soon as I roll back to 16.11.5 all is well again and the fans sound normal when set to manual values.

Secondly I am missing fan and temperature controls, the only option I have is to set minimum fan speed but I do not see the options to set target fan speed or Temperature min/target. Exactly the same issue as this guy, though he has a 380: https://community.amd.com/thread/209006

I don't use afterburner or anything similar, only thing I have installed and running at the same time is f.lux.
 
All running nicely for me so far too. I haven't tried chill or the recording software yet, I doubt I'll ever bother with chill. Tried Fo4, F1 2012, Stalker COP and a few tower defense titles with no issues. I just got the Infinite Warfare Legacy pack so I may try Infinite in a bit. I booted up the MW remastered for 20 minutes yesterday and did the training base intro and it seemed okay.

Infinite war is Rubbish tbh. I liked BO3 and think it's a much better game. Infinite war feels similar but the Map design is where it lets itself down badly. Lucky for me i only rented it on the Ps4 to see if it was any good. Played one night with my mates and sent it back. The version i rented never had the MW remaster which is as hame as many think they should have just concentrated on that game and added stuff in.

Bf1 is a far superior shooter to infinite war and i think next years Cod has to be much better or i won't be buying that either.
 
For any of you guys have issues with core clocks memory or anything related to overclocking. I would reset wattman to its default settings.
Seems something has bugged out I know a lot you you also use other overclocking tools are we see seeing conflict happening here?
