The AMD Driver Thread

If you look in Programs and Features do you just have "Vulkan Run Time Libraries 1.0.26.0" with Publisher LunarG, Inc. or is there another package by LunarG?

What do you see at the top of the output of the command vulkaninfo.exe?

My concern here is that some 16.12.2 isn't loading something it should that you might have had installed by a previous driver?

Used DDU to clean out 16.12.2 and went back to 16.11.5, still the same error in DOOM with Vulkan, I'm at a loss :( (OPENGL is fine)

Can you try uninstalling Vulkan from control panel and custom install on AMD driver and see if you can install it again?

16.12.12 gave me issues with some games. I have two screens so run games in full screen windowed mode for ease of switching between the two...

After installing games would 'freeze' when the active window. Music and all that would still play and actually the game wouldn't be frozen. Switching to a different active window (browser or even just Windows) the game in the background would be running fine. Seems it would freeze on that frame when ever I made the game my active window. If that makes sense?

Completely uninstalled drivers and reinstalled and it's fine now. So more of an fyi incase anyone has similar issues.

Yeah, I found the links at the bottom of the driver notes (thanks Jimbob), but they were not showing from the main menu on the AMD website.

I was hoping for the saturation settings to be back in the CP , but still missing

Mine was not a clean install ( did the upgrade option) but same fine .

Every time I change something in my AMD radeon settings program and then attempt to shut it down using the 'X' in the top right corner it crashes & I get a Host application has stopped working message. Is anyone else getting issues like this?

I'll do a fresh install and see if that solves it.

I did a DDU wipe and installed the newest 17.1.1 drivers but it still crashes the app if I try to close it after making any changes to it, as in the spoiler above :(

I'll put a ticket in.

I've done some testing and found that it only crashes when I attempt to shut it down while the gaming/global settings tab is open.

I've done a second ticket explaining that,

Is it happening to anyone else?

Can't say I've ever experienced it with AMD drivers. Had it last year with NVIDIA in their control panel on the rare occasion.

I've found with 17.1.1 and 16.12.2 it caused issues in 7 Days to Die with dropping frame rates from 60fps down to 20fps every minute or so. It ends up being stuttering.

Clear out the game / profiles / saves etc. reinstalled still the same. DDU 17.1.1 then reinstalled, same issue. Rolled back to 16.11.5 and works perfectly.
