The AMD Driver Thread

Happy to report, since BIOS update this is the longest the PC has gone without crashing. Looks promising :D

Good news, also bit of feedback on the 300mhz core clock issue you had, if you have afterburner installed, completely uninstall it, don't save settings. Restart your pc, then install it again, however do not unlock overclocking, just been having a mess around with my card and had the same thing.

No afterburner or anything like that. Completely clean install of windows, only latest AMD drivers. Everything is on default in the drivers also. Won't touch anything for a couple of weeks until I know the card is fine :)

Installed the new Vega driver for my RX 480 this morning, everything working fine so far, and my memory clock goes down to 300Mhz now when i switch off my DP monitor while leaving my 2 Samsungs on, this didnt happen with the 17.7.2 drivers, memory clock stayed at 1750Mhz.

MSI Afterburner 4.3.0 seems happy with these Beta's too.

:)

Are there any advantages in the latest driver compared to the previous ones?
I saw they were bringing more Relive or sensor display options but no idea in already or not.

I recall the uproar when an icon was installed, be interesting to see what this brings :p
(off by default, but still....why not just give an option to DL it?)

why not just give an option to DL it?

How do you know the launcher is really bundled in the download? Ticking the box could just download the latest launcher for you. (This is a guess though, I haven't download this)

No idea how it's set up yet, but imagine it's just same as Relive. Click it to install, it's in the installer.
Can't tell yet though, as I can't DL latest drivers :)

Ah, got it DL'd.
It may be a DL to get it, file is similar to previous AMD installer.

Does anyone else have an issue with windows remembering where your monitors are with the new drivers. I have my screen stacked one on top of the other, but everytime i shut down my PC it reverts to putting them side by side and i have to manually go in and change them and apply new setting.

An other thing which may be unrelated is that AMD control panel and windows dont agree which screen is number 1 and 2 Window is correct but, AMD control panel switches them.

Both screens connected by DP.

Fixed in WHQL driver, Splendid

The WHQL set are lots better for me, was getting crashes in games with the beta set but the new ones are rock solid so far and I also seem to have gained around 1,000 firestrike points from them as well.
