The AMD Driver Thread

Hey all

Anyone else have crash issues with an RX480 when enhanced sync is on for origin games? I have a feeling it may just be frostbite engined ones but I need to do more tests.

Also with the 17.10.2 drivers disabling enhanced sync on game profiles doesn't work it has to be disabled in global to prevent crashes

Weird one. I cant seem to run 3dmark benches after installing the windows update, Vega 64, it just sits there saying "gathering system info" and never gets to running. Its the payed for version on steam. ive tried with 17.10.1 and 17.10.2. Games run fine, been playing all night, no crashes, overlcock / undervolt intact. I can also run things like heaven benchmark etc fine.

I seem to remember this happening before, and the solution was to download a new system info program from 3D Mark.

if you are using steam check files that will fix it if not just reinstall 3d mark

Going to give relive another try.

What are the best settings for quality then with not too much impact?

Specs are i5 750 @ 3.8GHz, MSI 290 GE, 8GB RAM @ 2560x1080

Performance hit is the same regardless of bitrate, you're generally looking at a couple of FPS perf cost.

I usually use 35-40Mbps for high quality.

Just don't expect a huge upgrade, performance/power usage wise will be very similar.

They are both my old cards now I just upgraded from the 280x to a 1080 so got my self a nice boost gone from a massive card with 2 8pins to a little one with 1 8 pin.

I would say there is a fairly big difference between my old 280x and my 7950 though. For starters the 280x I got is good for 1150mhz and the 7950 doesn't like much above 900.

@AMDMatt can we have a way of removing all profiles from the radon settings, no way i am manually removing over 100 profiles. this is especially useful as when it auto adds the 100's of profile on clean install. radeon settings runs like crap with that many profiles...
