Have you got any other software/overlay stuff running in the background? Try disabling anything and everything prior to launching the game.

Hi, I can't get into the game to make any changes.
Hi, The only thing on is the AMD software so I'll shut that down and see if it makes a difference. Back in a mo.
EDIT: That didn't help unfortunately, I did try with Relive turned off before but thought I'd try again now the installs fresh & on a new drive. There's nothing else I use. No Afterburner or Fraps etc.

@nashathedog is the game loading through steam at all?
If so there is commands you can add the game launch options.

Wow! AMD's new Raise the Game bundle makes a lot of gpu's look very tempting, All 3 games look quite good so there's a £100 saving on those which makes a £260 RX580 look like a bargain, Elsewhere you can get a £560 Vega 64 Nitro with the three games. I'm waiting to see if OCUK jump on board as the Vega 64 Red Devil at £530 would likely become very popular.
I've tried all the different render commands etc that are linked over in the Steam threads but nothings helped. I read something about ultrawide issues but as suggested by Matt I've deleted all the user files.

I'm running Doom on an ultrawide, Vega 64 Win 10 so doubt that is the issue.

@nashathedog tested my V64 with Doom and no issues here also with 18.8.1
@LtMatt I believe there is some error with the displaying of VRAM usage in 18.8.1.
It displays that I am consuming 32GB VRAM minimum when playing Elite Dangerous
I have no performance issues etc. Still runs at 143fps cap on power save mode. (so clocks are between 1200 and 1384 and power consumption between 85W and 170W).

Wasn't there something about deleting the intro movies? Wait a few seconds after you reach the loading spot where the movies should be playing and then hit escape.

Just tested them & the lighting is broken still with this release.

what light flickering? Some times the issue exist these days if you use 3rd party overlays.
Whats your monitor, and what is your cable. Is it DP1.2 certified or the one came with the monitor?

Hi, I did one not that long ago (when I changed to a 2700x) And I've only just managed to get everything running how I like it, ie the right software stuff and I don't really want to do that again as I don't see why that would be the issue when everything else is working fine.

my monitor is a really cheap one but seems good for everything doesnt flicker at all without freesync. there is a thread in monitors with my monitor the electriq 3440-1440 100hs freesync (it no longer does 100hz).
the dp cable is a fairly decent 1 i bought a while ago. made sure it wasnt some cheap rubbish.

The "cheap rubbish" and "expensive capable" mean nothing.
It has to be DP1.2 rated otherwise doesn't work properly.
Also given that we are in 2018 make sure you buy DP1.4 rated cable like the Club 3d DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3. It costs £13 (don't pay more than £15 for it) for the 2m one and kinda pointless to buy 1.2 these days as all new Freesync 2 monitors are coming with DP1.4 now starting with the LG 34GK950F

Yep, tested it as well, still broken.
I think the escape spamming thing only works if you delete the into movies. I am not sure if you just delete the movies or remove the movie folder completely. It's annoying me because I had the same problem with the black screen thing and it was the movies thing that fixed it. But, it's all a blur what exactly I did because I was trying loads of different things, hoping something would actually work and let me play the damn game!!

Yes. I cannot post you here a competitors site but you can find the cable i mentioned above for less the £13. 2m DP1.4 certified for 8K 60hz.
Seems OCUK doesn't have any DP certified cables

Any insight on the PCI Express driver included in 18.8.1 (amdkmpfd.sys). Is that a AMD chipset thing or a MS driver update (working on Intel and AMD chipset)?
