The AMD Driver Thread

Are the undervold, GPU or Mem overclocking features doing anything for anyone else? If I apply one of them (say GPU overclocking) it'll seem like it's doing something (screen flickers, looks like it's applying) but clocks stay the same. This is with a Sapphire Nitro Vega 64

Not at home yet so i cant really try anything, but ive seen a few comments that only 1 of the features works at a time? like you cant Auto OC and Undervolt and do mem at the same time, its one or the other(s). If thats the case its a bit sad :( was hoping you could do the Auto OC, Clock the Mem then let it find the best Undervolt for those settings.

Memory timing adjustment sounds really interesting; I wouldn't be surprised if the default timings are really loose on Vega, judging by their default voltages. However, it might actually make no difference to performance anyway. I'd also be interested if anyone can do anything with the P1-P5 states on Vega since that seems kinda useless on the face of it.

Anyone else having issues getting the AMD overlay to display in-game. I press alt+R but only the windows desktop mouse icon appears, no overlay in-game. I have to press alt+R again to get rid of the windows mouse icon.

Windows 10 64-bit 1809 + Powercolor Red Dragon Vega 56.
Not working in tested games in fullscreen mode: Unigine Superposition/Valley, Assassins creed Odyssey, Battlefield 1.

I did the custom clean install method option when installing the new 18.12.2 drivers.

All working dandy here, same card as you but didn't do a clean install.

I have the Vega 64 LC
Do the new fan adjustment features mean I will be able to completely stop the rad fan on desktop?.

Installing the new drivers this evening.

^ Interesting. I'll be using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) and then installing the new driver. If there are any issues, I'll clean reinstall 18.12.1 and then try installing 18.12.2 over them!

Never had an issue installing over the top of existing drivers, I've only required DDU if I've ever replaced the card.

I used to install new over old until an occasion where the new graphics driver didn't install despite the rest of the package installing fine. Though that was with the R9 290X several years ago and could have been a quirk of that particular driver set.

Interesting new graphical effects with undervolting selected, certainly a more challenging gaming experience.
