Installed 9.4 all working superb battlefield 4 seems much better or is it just me?

I also have something you guys should try out been testing out "EDID" extended display identification data in CCC under display colour.

From what I understand this settings lets the Monitor tell the PC what settings is best for Colour, Refresh rate etc
Since using it everything seems much smoother? or is it driver 9.4??

One of theses changes has done something, Battlefield 4 when frame rate drops just stays smooth and doesn't feel choppy.

Neither. Dice released a patch the other day. (not clientside) Since then performance and smoothness have improved a bit. I've been running performance overlays since day one. ;)

BF4 in game performance (cpu+gpu) overlay, afterburner and RadeonPro. Performance has been very smooth for me since i got my 7990. Before that it was on and off, but it was a game issue.

Performance as always been very good for me, but what I did notice was when the frame rate would drop the game would feel bit choppy. Now I can't even tell that the frame rate has dropped.

The new beta drivers solver my crossfire issues for Ghosts....now running both cards with 90%+ usage on each and game running at 91fps constant...happy at last...only took them 3 weeks lol :)

Feels a lots smoother too than when only running the one card :)

Hmm - I tried running in Xfire and I suffered major memory leak
What versions of windows are you both running?
Mine starts ok in xfire but gets worse and then after about a minute its unplayable.
I'm on W7 64

Win7 64bit mate. Menus etc all fine, as soon as I start a game with performance monitor running you can just see the free memory start to fill. I've got 16GB!!

Then within a minute if I don't quit the game crashes and get windows error message saying no free memory shut down some programs.

Haven't tried it without Xfire.

Had the same kind of issue with the official non beta drivers without XFire enabled but when using RadeonPro so had to run the game without it and without XFire. I'm not using RadeonPro with it anymore either.....

Yep same thing happens to mine, menus etc are fine but in game I have to disable crossfire.
I must say it runs pretty well on the one 7970 though but thats beside the point.
So new beta for me doesn't help.

I'll try it again without Xfire and see if its any better. As you say, runs fine on the single 7950, 90fps @ 1920x1200 or there abouts, but don't want to have to keep messing with enabling and disabling!

You can set a 3D applications profile +Add and you can set it to disable CF for any game you are having issues with, so you dont actually have to keep manually enabling and disabling like the old way.

Tried via app profile, didn't appear to shut down Xfire, memory leak remains.

Turned it off manually (eventually as sometimes when I check the button the page goes blank and clicking on Apply does nothing!) and that stops the leak.

epic.
