How do you people remove your old drivers when installing new ones?

I used to just use the inbuilt driver removal thing that comes with the drivers....but some said that doesn't remove everything.

Then I used that DDU program and it messed up my computer or something as I ended up with blue screen issues all the time and lock ups in videos.

Formatted the PC and reinstalled windows and its fine now.

You don't really need to use a driver sweeper at all. Just uninstall the drivers normally. Delete the AMD folder on your C: drive then install the new drivers.

The only time I use DDU is if something untoward happens after an install (which might be once or twice a year). Normally I just install over the top of the old drivers, and it's fine.

Not on the English site, yet.

... or on that link for that matter.

The download link is at the bottom of the page on the german site. I just linked the guru3d post that links it as i wasn't familiar with the german one ;)

Download speed is so slow that they'll probably be up on the official site before getting them from there though.

Yeah, I checked that link. It still had 14.4's on it.

  • AMD Radeon R9 290X - 2560x1600 4xMSAA – improves up to 28%
  • AMD Radeon R9 290X CrossFire configuration (3840x2160 Ultra settings, MSAA = 4X) - 92% scaling
Murdered: Soul Suspect:

  • AMD Radeon R9 290X – 2560x1600 4xMSAA – improves up to 16%
  • AMD Radeon R9 290X CrossFire configuration (3840x2160 Ultra settings, MSAA = 4X) - 93% scaling

SO am I to presume that the fixes will work for the 7xxx series as well?

Should be working now, didn't realise that if i moved the file out of the local dropbox folder it would remove it from the site too :p

I wonder how these appeared there and why it's taking so long to get them from official channels.

Official channels take longer as they get flagged for archival once they get uploaded to the official site, A lot more goes into uploading through the official channels than pressing "Upload" ;)

These say May 23rd which has me thinking that these are the "Older" Beta drivers for 14.6 ???
