Is 14.4 unstable and causing crashes?
Working fine on HD 7950.

Is 14.4 unstable and causing crashes?
Might update then
Do I need to stay using driver sweeper whenever I update drivers? Or can I just download and install?
I always downloaded then installed, (without sweeping the old one out) but apparently sweeping out the old is better.
Is there a reason there is no new beta available at this time?
Uninstall drivers normally, restart, install new drivers, restart. No need for sweepers.
If you're having problems and think a driver sweep might help, then the only one id recommend using is DDU. http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/
Uninstall drivers normally, run DDU restart in to safe mode, clean, delete C:AMD folder, restart, install new drivers, restart.
The new Catalyst 14.6 display driver brings performance improvements to some of the latest games. However, Catalyst 14.6 is much more, since it also brings much awaited multi-display technology update.
You should expect 25-28% better performance in Watch Dogs with the new drivers. Catalyst 14.6 also has new CrossFire profiles specificly for WD. AMD claims it will provide up to 99% scaling to Watch Dogs.
AMD Catalyst 14.6 will be available starting from tomorrow.
Wtf???
The true lazy mans route is:
Launch DDU, hit the top button, sit back and relax, when the PC goes through restart cycle, have a nice stretch and let out a man growl until your back at the desktop where you can casually install the new driver.![]()
What happened to the drivers with the 7xxx performance improvements?
Maybe they have done everything they can with 7000 series?
Looks almost like they are still screwing over 7xxx owners![]()
Maybe they have done everything they can with 7000 series?
They did say that there would be 7xxx series performance improvements like two drivers ago, if they have no intention of doing it why say so?
I would also contend that there is no disparity between GCN-based products. If you look at the Thief performance figures, there is a notable uplift for the 270X and 280X products on the appropriate CPU. If you're trying to use BF4 as an example of a disparity, additional performance gains/optimizations for that application must come from the developer.
Im so annoyed with AMD drivers the bane of my life, every time a new one comes out it ****s with windows, ive tried all the uninstalls the clean wipes it always fails and i have to go into the windows device manager and update from there. They are a joke. Its the sole reason i am trying to sell my cards. Had enough of the inconsistencies.
