Hmmm I really do not know what to say but something is not quite right.
I have no issue either with enabling/disabling xfire, I don't use the DDU method to uninstall my drivers, I just use the AMD uninstall utility and always had no issues.
So if you right click your ATI icon on your taskbar, hold your pointer over
'1 AMD Radeon HD7900 series' there is no AMD Crossfire X settings menu?
