"bob marley jamming"

:p
Not a fail at all I want 1440p it's a success.

You're not objective, so of course you don't think it's a fail.

It sounds and looks half assed. Go figure.

Same resolution for two completely different monitor aspect ratios? Yeah, that's proper good /not.
Oh, 4K downsampling? Nope.

It's the very definition of something that is half arsed.

So it's a fail.

Not necessarily, this Display does not normally do Up-Scalling at all, i have tryed everything, its always "out of range" i was half expecting it to do that as soon as i hit 3200x1800, it didn't, it works perfectly.

As far as i'm concerned, given the Up-Scalling problems i have had with this display its a +1 to AMD given that it works.

The scaler in my display may not like anything above 3200x1800 and the software recognises that.

I bet if you ran a Maxwell and tried DSR it'd let you do 4K on your monitor.

The software detecting what your scaler can do? Yeah right. That's why 21:9 monitors are displaying 16:9 resolutions as their top limit, rather than the much lower pixel count of 3440x1440.

CRU's crap, always has been, there was no other usable method for downsampling for AMD since AMD's driver removed the ability with the third party tool.
It's good that AMD have brought downsampling about, but it's still half arsed. Then again, DSR's not exactly stellar either with the SLI issues?

Or Maxwell may not, its pointless arguing over it, for the first time ever on this Display i can up-scale and i'm happy about that.

Pretty sure that 3200x1800 is what it'll do right now for everyone on 16:9. 4K will come later.
As for 21:9, I dunno. Have you actually tried it before declaring fail, Martini?

Well, someone with a 21:9's just mentioned their highest resolution is 3200x1800. I don't need to use it, unless I miraculously get different results. Are you guessing 4K's coming later? Or is it announced?

But I'm at work.

Anybody else think the virtual super resolution makes the games look worse? On Mirror's Edge it makes the text all distorted and lines not straight.

Hmm. Well let's hope they sort it out.
Do you know if DSR would let you do 3440 on one of those?

Haven't the foggiest, if DSR doesn't let you do 3440x1440, then it to is a fail to me, and again half assed (SLI not working with it is pretty fail worthy too)

Compromises for absolutely no reason by the looks of it.
I bet Duarantes downsampling (When it works) is better than both DSR and VSR.

Not tried ME, but it looks great with Assetto Corsa, pCARS, Tomb Raider and Alien. That's all I've tried so far.
Tomb Raider doesn't need it as it already has built in SSAA anyway.

To be fair, DSR+SLI only has an issue combined with Gsync. Still not cool, but it does work under the same conditions as VSR.

Hmmm interesting, so the max resolution is 3200x1800? Is that just for 1080P monitors? What about 1440P and other varians (Ultra wide/4K)?

This is what I get with a single card, which is pretty naff as I have 3 cards :(
