Good stuff pgi always interesting to see real world results. Could you try one more run after that with some RadeonPro settings that i could give you? I have a feeling i can make your line even straighter.

Sure, but this will be the last one for tonight, I must have done op-swordbreaker 50 times.

Edit: Earlier post updated with 13.5 results!!

Both felt very smooth :)

Edit: Both were on 13.5 Beta 2 with 13.4 CAP 1.

A little yes. But I don't play BF3 that much these days :p

I take it according to the 'reviewers' my 7970 CF should be showing those frame times bouncing all over the place??

I see what you mean, if I get chance tomorrow I'll record the first 30 seconds or so of that clip and cap the vsync to 120fps and upload it. See if they have made it appear worse in that video then it actually is.

Amd offical Driver section is fully updated now

Nicely done :)

I'll update drivers page with all the new info tomorrow, if anyone has issues with any of the new drivers please report them and post to let us know if we can fix it!!

Hello all, I have just joined this forum. Does anyone knows good settings for an ancient game, Flight Simulator 2004?. My specs are as follows: Acer X3475 with 12Gb of RAM, quad-core A10-5700 and AMD Radeon 7660D as a video card. I am using Radeonpro and the latest build and I am interested about the tweaks I could use with that, if anyone knows?.

Run the game and have something like fraps on to monitor frame rates, knock settings down (or UP!) if you find the frames dropping below an acceptable level. Its a fairly old game, I'd guess that A10 will handle it well :)

Last quote is from sword breaker (I think). Which is now officially called moral breaker, play it enough times and you start to consider suicide :p

I don't mind doing the leg work, Matt and others are far more clued up on this frame time business then I am :)

Operation swordbreaker, start recording as you get out of the apc and hear a guy say "thanks" and end recording after you've cleared the car park and hear a guy say something like "hey buddy".

Recording frametime and minmaxavg with fraps using the latest driver/cap combination of your choice :) (preferably 13.5b2).

It should be a stuttering mess :p

If you run it more then once to compare driver gains please have a sitter with you at all times as repeating swordbreaker will destroy your soul.

If high speed cameras pick it up, if someone has the video editing skills they can slow down and review the video I'll upload tonight @ 1080 120fps.

Afterburner recording decent enough? I had a brief look at it last night, seems it should allow me to record at any desired frame rate and quality.

Edit: I installed the beta over the top of the whql, so I'll remove it all tonight to avoid conflicts :)

Lmao, oh Matt :p

Cheers tommy, I'll have a play with dxtory too, I'll do some practise runs on a game/level I enjoy to try them out before I fall asleep playing swordbreaker again.

Starting to play with the video recording now, DXTory will only allow 60fps, Afterburner is allowing 100fps so we'll see how I get on :)

Bah, blast, DXtory won't do over 60fps and afterburner won't do above 1050p :p

Try this: http://ul.to/946ktied

Caution, its still uploading and its 1.53GB, ignore the flicker at the start, I dropped my mouse and the flicker at the end has always happened when 'saving' probably due to the old mechanical drive BF3 is on.

Scaling is brilliant, this is with my cards at stock 1010/1375 too.

Basically a single 7970 (even the older 925/1375 cards) will hit a 60fps vsync wall before hitting 100% usage at 1080 with bf3 on ultra preset.

#1 updated with latest drivers and driver recommendations, #2 updated with a logo.

I will add some of the other modified oc tools posted earlier, tomorrow.

Clean install.

Just checked using a DVI cable rather than Displayport or Mini Displayport cable and it looks fine over DVI. For some reason 13.5 drivers are causing issues on all of my displayport outputs.

Ok, I don't have any dp displays to check with, could you report the issue via the link in post #1? 13.4 w/ cap1 should still give you a healthy performance increase over 13.1/13.3 so no harm in sticking with those until the issue is resolved in a newer driver.

So do the 13.5 CATS include this new memory timing for all games or just a select few, as i've noticed tomb raider and oddly project cars are now much smoother, Skyrim is still smooth since 13.1 for me..

i'm using the mobile version on a 7970m

I believe it does contain memory management improvements for some titles, Matt should be able to give you a more definitive answer though :)
