If you think everyone who buys a GPU watches/listens to what HUB say i think you maybe mistaken, the people telling AMD their cards are not worth buying at the price they're asking are the people buying GPUs, that's how markets work.

AMD have tried being 10-20% cheaper (at launch) and people, via how many buy them, have voted with their wallets. Most people are not stupid, if you confront them with a 10-20% price difference on a £500-600 product most people simply won't care, it's hardly even worth a second look for a lot of people because £50-100 simply doesn't shift the needle when you're spending that amount.

What shifts the needle is being able to buy something that gives you a tier higher performance/quality for a tier lower price.

A 20% discount is a 20% discount, its not trivial just because its "only £100" If you're shopping for £500 GPU's £100 is quite a lot of money.

It's not a discount though is it, it's what the/a product costs.

If you're shopping for a £500 GPU you're shopping for a £500 GPU, you're not going out to buy a £500 GPU only to see a £400 GPU and thinking to yourself I'll buy that because £100 cheaper, you go out to buy a £500 GPU and buy what gets you the most for your money.

This is exactly what i did.

So instead of spending the same amount of money to get more performance you choose to get the same performance but save £100?

Why am i finding that hard to believe, could it be that outside of the money is no object type of people I've never heard of someone deciding on what GPU to buy based exclusively on performance, how most people seem to set a budget rather than a minimum required FPS.

I got a little more performance by saving £90, yes.

How much is 7900XTX ? Doesn't really appeal to me , with RDNA 4 now having hardware upscaling and RT seems to be big jump while using less power

Starts at £650, this is a good version of it but i think the 9070 XT will be better in raster and as you said much better in RT, its just about price...
