Yes I worked in import export for a bit, Tariffs are charged upon import, in this case, the money goes straight to the government from the importer, Who then, of course, bumps up the price down the chain. Technically, you would be the importer if you brought one in from abroad.
This should not lead to prices here increasing, as the UK hasn't changed its tariffs. However, it has in the past been used as an excuse to bump up profits.
