CAT if you think the 5070 will be a better GPU for its money you should buy that.

you really do swing from one drama llama post to another don't you. you must be shockingly highly strung in real life :p

That's your take?

You don't understand critical thinking, no insult intended.
oh ok, you want to go down that route. i fully understand critical thinking - but you need to grow up and stop getting so worked up about graphic card pricing. posting crap like 'it's all a bit **** our hobby is dead' is nothing to do with critical thinking but all about you being overly worked up. take a breather fella.

I am streaming BG3, Total War and Indy just fine. Maybe you should think about joining the Apple M4 Mini game streaming master race where there is no noise, no heat and nothing for people to rob.
and again with the streaming

most people in the uk do not have the bandwidth to stream unless you are very very lucky 15-30gb is the most common speeds

At the rate graphics cards are going up in price,it will be cheaper to become an Apple uberfan!

Typo. I just wanted to clarify their stance on the RTX5070. Looks like AMD is screwed!

The 4070 need's to gain 55% in raster and 45% in RT to match the 9070 XT, that would also only give the 5070 Ti about a 10% advantage in raster, do you really think Nvidia would compete with their own GPU at £540 when that competing GPU starts at £850?

But then you put out a price which is lower than a $540 RTX5070 which is what YOU stated. RTX5070 is $540 and you think in the context of that the RX9070XT should be $500. I mentioned the RTX5070 to see your response.
Here's where you're not hearing me and perhaps I should've been more explicit: I do not care about the 5070 for myself at all. There's no way I buy it unless they flog it for $300. There are certain thresholds of performance and VRAM for an upgrade and that means what we see from the 5070 Ti as a minimum and really only for its MSRP of $750 (and if lower, so much the better!). I was actually eyeing the 5090 for this gen but the launch soured me, so now I'd go for a more middling upgrade like the 5070 Ti but not in a rush.

So I will ask you again to clarify a few things, based on assuming AMD or Videocardz isn't fibbing about numbers:
1.)Assume the RX9070XT is as fast as RX7900XTX in rasterised
It wouldn't matter to me. I have enough raster performance for now and the hassle and cost of an upgrade wouldn't be worth making, plus even the XTX can't do the things in raster that I'd want from it (like some older, or not so old, games at 8K 60 for that sweet super-sampling).

2.)Assume the RX9070XT is around RTX4070 Super to RTX4070TI in an average of RT games
That 4070 Ti perf equivalent would be acceptable IF it also applied to PT CP2077.

3.)Assume the RTX5070 is an RTX4070 Super in rasterised/RT(maybe even an RTX4070TI in RT)

So around parity in RT(let's say 10% better for Nvidia, because we all love Nvidia here),and the AMD card offering 20% to 30% better rasterised performance and 33% more VRAM.

Now using these assumptions,if the RX9070XT was priced the same as RTX5070,what would you get and why? Not $500,but say $550 which is around the same price.
I'd lean towards the 9070 XT in that case so long as FSR 4 is good, I see them hustle with game integrations and the driver updates pick up. This latter point in particular has massively downgraded AMD value for me in the past year. That's why I'm also more negative on AMD and the upcoming launch and all the positive assumptions people make because I know the reality of it, not what and how I wish it were. It's a situation of 'penny wise, pound foolish' atm, so that's why now when it comes to buying AMD for the discount it has to be a big one to even consider again.

Cyberpunk 2077 not my cup of tea , is it the same game or they added dlc to story line ? Or people just replaying the same game again and again just checking out new tech demo feature added ?

Surely then you want an RTX5090 you should wait for prices to stablise or a refresh? I just seems a very expensive stop gap and next year you might feel unhappy. RTX4080 cards were available for not much more last year.

Thanks for clarifying your stance on this. I have an Nvidia card ATM and mates with AMD cards. They seem to have not really had issues with some of the new releases we have been playing together including Indy games. We play these games together and many are not really hardware enthusiasts. I would know very well if there are issues as I would be tech support.

But then none of these games seem to be really hot on the RT side too. Maybe I have become Casual Master Race!

Its intriguing to me but its one of those things where i will wait until i have a GPU that can run it with all the RT, because if that's the way its indented to be experienced that's what i want to do, and i'm not paying a premium price for it when i don't get to experience it like that with a GPU that i can enjoy as intended in just about any other game.

I'm in no rush for it..
