For anyone with a Meta/Pico VR headset, this is good news. AMD lagged behind when using H.264. And for some games, H.264 is better than either AV1 or HEVC.

I have a 6800XT I got for £680. Looking at the GN video and seeing the RX9070 ($550) be 38% than the 6800XT and the 9070XT ($600) being 50% better than the 6900XT makes me think the 9070XT might finally be a big enough jump for around the same purchase price as my 6800XT was 4.5 years ago...
