*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Thursday is going to be even more interesting if there are unsold 5070s remaining on the shelf

In the unlikely event that Nvidia makes more than a handful and there are some left... would you buy one?
Especially if the 9070XTs all sell out and have no stock, would anyone go team green if they had something available?

Personally...

Buy a plain 5070 .... heeeelllll no .... that's going to run like dog ****
Will be looking at benchmark scores for the 9070XT on Wednesday but it's highly likely I'll be sticking with the 5070 TI as I don't think AMD have quite made it into the Ai game
They may do next gen unless AiDiva decide to pull up their socks

Either way it's great for competition ! Hoping that accelerated growth filters through to us end consumers too

Isn’t expectations low for what the 5070 will deliver for performance? If it’s 20% below a 5070Ti that puts it about 4070Ti (7900 GRE) performance. The 9070 is 20% faster than a GRE according to the AMD performance claims.

So it looks like AMD are targeting about 20% faster and with 33% more VRAM at the same price point. Or for $50 more (fake MSRP most likely) you can get the 40% faster 9070 XT with 33% more VRAM.

I can’t see the 5070 coming out if this looking remotely good value. Even the 5070Ti at fake MSRP of $750 doesn’t look great and it was one of the better price/perf Fakewells. If a 9070XT can be had for close to MSRP it will make any £900 plus 5070Ti look like the terribly scalped crap they are.

Having said that I don’t expect many 9070XT to be near MSRP for long. It won’t be paper launch like the Fakewell, but it will sell out within an hour or so.

Soon we will have £750 - £1000 mid range 70 class GPUs as “special offers”.

Does make you wonder how many cards are on there way back, after the AMD announcement.
Saw this thread on reddit earlier and thought to myself it could very easily be SubAura's acc...

It would seem there are plenty of people with a 5070Ti in the same position.

Is it 2pm this Thursday for sales of the 9070XT on OCUK?

Lmao still undecided whether to take a loss of about £100 on my card and pay the difference (£300) for a 9070XT?!???

I fear I am not made of steel.

Theres likely to be a lorry load in distribution so I would not worry about lack of supply.

Is 2pm just UK or is that that the EU release as well?
Pretty much everything launches 9am East Coast of America so find your nearest city on this list for your time...

The difference between a 9070xt and 9070 is about 20% performance and £50 so not sure why anyone would pay more than £50 above MSRP for a 9070XT that may OC an extra 5-10% over the standard model.
It depends.

If the additional GPU and vrm phase(s) and maybe a cheeky chip bin allow the OC to be almost guaranteed to hit a 5080 FE then it will be worth more than £50.

Selling my 7900xtx as my nephew needs 24GB vram for his work stuff. Looking forward to getting a new card and mucking about with the tuning.

Why should it sell out within an hour?

It's just a graphics card. I swear before the stupid mining boom and 3xxx series, it was very unusual for new cards to sell out instantly all the time.

I still think lots of people are stuck in the mindset of when these were money printers and always think "omg I'll never get one ever!"

Then, whenever there is a new release there are loads of people commenting saying "lol they won't be RRP and lol they'll sell out in minutes" and then it just becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.
