Mine do that zero-rpm thing. I like the quiet but I dislike that the gpu runs hotter at idle (than if the fans were on) but i can never be bothered to come up with a fan curve I'm happy with. I'm not against zero-rpm, I just sort of wish it wouldn't let the gpu get so hot before turning off, but I don't think you can do zero-rpm with a manual fan curve can you?
Very loosely connected to this, do we know if there are waterblocks expected for any 9070 (XT) models? With no reference cards I guess it's harder for companies to make waterblocks. Fairly niche market and now you have to guess which card(s) will be most popular from a brand with ~10% marketshare.
Depends on game and settings. What is VRAM usage on a 1440p typically?
It will be interesting to see what the view is on the 12gb 9060XT when compared to a 16gb 5060TI and how close or far they are from a 5070 and the 9070 non XT.Depends on game and settings.
But logically if all the other cards have 33%+ more vram and going by benchmarks that have been leaked, the 5070 is lagging behind the rest that's been released and is going to be released this week, it makes little logical sense to consider this card over any of the new cards. It's also unlikely to be under £600 as well.
People said the same about texture mapping in 1995Wish RT just died, it's too much of a FPS hog.
Can you move that line? You can... The dotted white line is the Zero RPM line.

Can you move that line?
I tend to just use afterburner for my fan fan curves.
Still mean I can't have the fans kick in any sooner (I think they kick in at 60ºC, I'd prefer maybe some fan by mid 40s or something). You can't move the line but what you can do is move the dots to the right of it, so you can adjust how much the fan first comes on and how it then ramps with temps.
I don't use MSI AB for anything other than the OSD, for overclocking and fan curves the AMD software is better.

I use MSI Afterburner because the AMD software doesn't work with my Nvidia cards and I like to keep things consistent (I also dislike the AMD software interface).
Pretty sure you can kick them in sooner , having used AMD software and msi afterburner with Nvidia card I prefer AMD software because it's all in one, Nvidia trying to do that with geforce experience but it's clunky compared to AMD
Wednesday I think. Though I'd be surprised if they say anything significantly different to what AMD has already laid out in their presentation. When are reviews out tomorrow?

Which of the 9070XT models takes your fancy?
I like the Gigabyte Gaming OC and Aorus- they take standard 8 pins and boost to over 3ghz. The only downside is that they have 2 DP and 2 HDMI. I’d have preferred more DP:HDMI.
Don’t know who would stock XFX.
