*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Gamers Nexus are dropping big hints that the 9070XT will compare to the 7900XT in their 5070 review.

Well that would make the AMD presentation a big fat fib then. They quite clearer pared it to a 5070ti which is 7900xtx level and 15-20% faster than the 7900xt.

It's the 9070 that should compare to the 7900xt

Didn't AMD say it's about 40% better than the GRE?

The 7900xt is about 20% better than the GRE.

Just looked at the slides 42% at 4K and 38% at 1440p. For the 9070xt over the GRE

Do you have a review shwoing that - or are you basing it off 1 power chart?
Here's one review site that shows 18% at 4k so that's pretty close to what @kieran_read said (in regards to 20% GRE to 7900 XT)...

Small point, does anyone happen to have a quick list of the cards which are using 2/3x 8 Pin Power, vs which are using the newer 12HVPR connectors?

Would be interesting to see if any of the higher clocked cards are using the older connector, or if only the lower end cards.

Honestly likely to be doing a rig rebuild soon, but I'm not sure if either of my or the wife's current systems have the newer standard, and it'd be nice to be able to drop it into a system as soon as it arrives to check everything is working as expected.

Well it explains why some cards have 3 8pins and some have the new 12pin.
Also explains why the heatsinks are so big on many of the cards.

It also makes it even more disappointing that the price difference to the 9070 is so small. The lower power usage would be another reason to opt for the lower tier card if the price didn't feel like a rip off compared to the XT.

Thank you!
Seems like I'm feeling in a Red Devil mood ;)

Albeit I might just go for a Nitro+ because of how solid those cards usually are lol
Thank god reviews come out BEFORE the cards this time around.
