*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Im going to add you to the block list because you are either high or drinking at 3pm on a Tuesday.

I have no idea why you are on about DF where the hell has that even come up in a conversation. When did they say they are neutral? I know nothing about them I don't think I've ever read anything they've ever done.

You talk about GNs subtlety I mean are you qualified to talk about that? You the person who said that I think DF is neutral when you're the only one who's mentioned them I've not mentioned them once other to ask you why your talking about them. How can you qualify subtle hints when your extracting my thoughts and feelings out of thin bloody air and applying them to me like it's Gospel. DF is crap and I don't read them or watch their videos (I assume they do videos)

You seem oddly upset about this whole thing, but im just going to block you and be done.

Sorry mods! I've blocked him but he tilted me there!
So you wilfully admit you didn't understand steve then go on an offended woke right rant about DF, without reading the entire thread. Bless you.

Now back to 9070 and hoping for actual stock levels. AMD have an open goal again.

It doesn't look like any of them are going to be MSRP based on the estimates. Although did we ever find out what MSRP was going to be in £s?
True, but a $600 price tag usually equates to £600 in most things. So i think most were hoping/expecting MSRP to be around that. The prime at £700 is a long way from that. The Reaper and the pulse, less so at £630

Do we know anything about the power limits yet?
Will the 3 x 8-pin and 12-pin cards have much harder power limits than the 2 x 8-pin?
If the 2 x 8-pin cards do ~110% and the 3 x 8-pin ones do ~115% it doesn't seem like there'll be too much difference, but if it opens the more expensive cards up to ~125% or more...

I'm liking the look of the pulse or possibly pure depending on price. Normally would get a nitro but I'm not too keen on the 12 pin connector. Hoping these cards undervolt well

My RX 6800 nitro has been excellent, easily one of the best cards I've ever had and I kind of feel attached to it. Performance is still good yet my eyes keep wandering to these shiny new cards even if all I've played recently is WoW classic :D

I'm still interested in Pulse, Hellhound or Red devil. Most have come in less than I was expecting (Maybe the pulse being a bit higher than I was expecting)

Not sure if HU did an oopsie but their power consumption charts in the 5070 review show the 9070 and 9070XT:

Gamers Nexus are dropping big hints that the 9070XT will compare to the 7900XT in their 5070 review.

That is terrible if that is the case. 4GB less VRAM than an RX7900XT,no chiplets and worse power draw?

Im looking at the Nitro X if it ends up being 700, I don't think i could justify 800 for the other brands, Sapphire is the best brand and the cheapest.

I don't like the 12pin but I'll have to make do!.
I am sure it will be fine, at least that's what I am telling myself. Besides I have just upgraded my rig with an Asrock Nova and 9800X3D which seems to be having a slightly concerning failure rate on the CPU's so I figure I may as well add another component with slightly iffy specs to finish my home made IED :-)

I don't care about overclocking GPU's, or CPU's, as I undervolt them so not worried about the biggest and bestest card but for me to buy an XT it needs to trounce my 3070 ti or I'll be sticking with the ti for at least another year. I built my PC 3 years ago and that's the longest I've ever gone without upgrading or building a new machine.

AMD have over juiced all the GPUs I have bought from them. A very cheeky undervolt improves performance and reduces temps.

But the big problem is that the 7900XT used far more RAM chips and was a chiplet based dGPU. Monolithic GPUs should have efficiency advantages. I am really surprised the RX9070 with a 220W rating is drawing more an RX7800XT with a 263W rating! I hope it's one of the high end RX9070 cards with an overclock which was tested.

It would explain why most of the cards are huge.

I suspect that would be nitro plus / Red Devil balls to the wall power. Something like the reaper should be lower.

Looking at the power consumption the 9070 seems to be the real card and the XT pushed to give a higher end. Think I'll give it a few months and see if the 9070 hits a decent price. Higher power is just a hot room ;)
