*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

The good thing about the 9070 and 9070XT is that new stock seems to appear fairly regularly.

Also as predicted with higher stock flows, the price gouging will be a lot lower than for 5000 series GPUs. Some competitor retailers have been trying to sell the MSRP 9070 XT models at almost £800. Yet we see OCUK at much lower prices (yes still higher than MSRP) occasionally show in stock .

So those £629 9070 XTs seem to be the real street price once things settle down. This will fluctuate with the exchange rates, but those £570 MSRP models may become incredibly rare as Gibbo had alluded to.

It’s not ideal but compared to Nvidia real street prices the 9070 and 9070 XTs look like bargains. If The 9070 and 9070 XT stock situation is far better than we see with Nvidia 5000 series. If AMD can keep stock flowing they will gain market share by default. It’s an ugly win for AMD, but it is a win.
I watched Hardware Unboxed's 9070XT review and he pretty confirmed that the 'MSRP' price is more of an introductory price with AMD giving $50 rebates to board partners to allow them to hit the MSRP price on launch.

We probably won't see that price again until prices and stock levels stabilise on the Geforce side which could take months.

Get them back in stock. I want a black one for 620 and I will cancel my 5070ti pre order that is not due till end of april. By the time I got in the other day only the nitro for 720 was left. My 5070 was 770 so that was to close. I always buy the base models my colourful 1080 in my second pc is still going strong 9 years after buying it here.

even if 650 is meant to be the new price, current exchange rate is 1.29 to the $..that makes it £503.876* vat so £604. with demand being what it is, aib/retailers have no incentive to drop the price now, but if amd start selling the gpu's silicon going forward at the new price target and enforce the aib to pass the saving to customers, then really can see price dropping back to msrp if supply continues to be good. If nvidia drop price and increase supply, I can see below msrp come black fri
here's hoping anyway..if the 9070 goes sub £500 for black fri, that'll make a great xmas/b'day combo present for my boys as they start uni/A levels

If they keep coming in deliveries of thousands though, demand will slow down.

I just can't believe there are that many people continuously in the market for a £600 GPU.

Once stock stays in retailers, scalpers will give up too, which will make things even better.

happy to say my nitro and 9800x3d arrived:D. Time to dip my toes into AMD gpu gaming for my 1st time ever..after I do a spring clean of the case. I'll hold off on the 9800x3d install. May transplant mobo/cpu/ram etc to my son as going to be building a pc with him easter time.

I think a new build is called for that 9800x3d :) just let your son pick a case and help
him transplant all the old stuff that what I did with my Ryzen 4 when I upgraded to Ryzen 5 ;) enjoy.

here's hoping 9070xt drops below £500 then. That'll keep both my boys happy till they're working and can buy their own gpu in the future. One day they might even buy me a new one for my b'day in later years (one can but dream)

The absolute irony. Wait are you here to tell us upscaling sucks after all? ;)

Personally I have been using DLSS since v 2 and even FSR since it released and I even put up with FSR being kinda meh because at 4K it was still OK. It’s quite literally only a handful of people who said they dislike all upscaling.

Your trolling is very poor… 1 out of 5 for effort though ;)

Haha. I have also been using DLSS since 2.0.

I am talking about the poll from last year when all the AMD boys said they don't use upscaling and it was all about native. Now I see them all excited about FSR 4 :p

Makes sense i suppose, they just got usable upscaling for the first time.

I am actually very happy AMD went down this route and dumped the open route people here were cheering on. I am all for open if it can be done just as good. But that was obviously not possible.

I am actually looking forward to UDNA a lot more :D

I'm more excited for the 9060 xt and 9060 if they also have useable FSR4 and a really competitive price AMD might have a Ryzen moment for the. GPU. Then next gen cards if will be game on again like the old days. Nvidia remind me of intel at present just before Ryzen launch big fat minimum upgrades and milking everyone. Just hop AMD can do it.

Lol, most of the posts about FSR4 are from me and I own a 3080FE. Some people don't use upscaling but many do. I do use it to get the extra performance which is why I am excited that FSR4 provides a very good alternative to DLSS.

Indeed, these lower end cards where the upscaling makes sense, you shouldn't 'need' it on a higher performing device, but once it finally gets to the point it is like native then it makes sense to use it, it isn't there yet though, maybe a few more generations, on either platform.

RX 9060 at £279 would be a great card if they can annihilate the 5060 triple header, finally start brining real gains in the value segment rather than clowning around with cards that cost £2.5k+

When you have FSR4 quality upscaling it would be silly not to use it imo :D

I think his post is saltiness after realizing FSR4 has not only caught up to DLSS4T but is also better in some cases. Nvidia fanboys never thought it was possible to beat DLSS3 previously.
I own a 3080FE but am very happy AMD has provided a very good alternative. Now there is more choice when it comes to gaming gpu's. :p

I don’t think TNA is an Nvidia fanboy, just a bit of an edgelord who likes to troll for lols. :)

It’s all a bit of ribbing to be fair to TNA
