Maybe going for a higher volume of sales this time? I'd imagine profit Vs volume of sales the 70 tier would be the sweet spot.if thats the case they aint going for the mid tier, I think they will be going up against the 5070
I like the previous 7-series ref design that's all black with red accents much better. That said, for me, it can looks like a pile of rocks as long as it cools the card.
And hopefully, no bush-league QC issues like not filling the vapor chamber. It was quite disappointing getting a 7900xtx on launch just to find out it had to go back for RMA a day later. And no peak spikes like on the 6900s would be appreciated.Chiefly its the price for me. Cooling it seems to be adequate these days, build quality hopefully better than some gens. Close to the 7800xt as possible (in price only), yes!
