well I suppose it does make sense, but they already have the Ryzen 7600/7700 and Radeon 7600/7700 etc so it didn't bother them previously. Who knows!9700 CPU. 9070 GPU It makes sens to me

AMD don't do logic unfortunately.
I’m going off experience as AMD have had many chances to get it right and failed every time hence why they’re down to single digit market share now.Taking a rumour as fact is also highly logical....or not.
Why? It's a mid range card.Jayzus I hope that 3D Mark leak is false. They may as well just refresh the 7000 series if so.

Well that's the thing, it's close to the 70 series from the outgoing generation. It'll be competing with the 5060ti.This is expected
For months now it was rumoured to be a 80 series card and then suddenly we get told it's a 9070 - once I saw the new name I immediately downgraded my expectations, if AMD was going to call it a 70 series then that's because it has very mid range performance
I expect the 9070 will cost around $300 to $350
People are expecting too much from these cards. It all comes down to price. Let’s hope AMD don’t completely price themselves out of their already slim market share.
I was hoping for 4080 performance for around £550/600.
Im 4yrs into owning a 6800 and I cant see anything worth spending my money on that will give me a big enough jump to warrant the price.
Didn't AMD say they are targeting mid tier ? Yeah I don't think that's mid tier for next generation that's probably be up against the 5060ti
I was hoping for 4080 performance for around £550/600. Looking at selling my 6700xt for a new next gen card but can't see it being AMD unless it's priced very competitively but I've got a feeling it's not going to be and they are going to really drop the ball this gen
Amd hasn't said anything relating to these cards at all as far as I know. They generally don't comment on new cards until they're announced, same as nvidia.
