lol :D

If only we knew at the time :)
I actually had about $900 left in btc watching it fall lower and lower and it was getting to me so I figured id get something out of it in case it collapsed. I also saved back my remaining 1btc BTC 'just in case'. That's 1 of the reasons I never got a 980ti or some thing even better. Tbf the Fury has probably reclaimed all of the lost btc so I don't feel as bad having the crown for most overvalued hardware ever bought.

True Audio anyone ?? Mantle ?? At lest Mantle gave us Volcan and Dx12... that barely any games use ...

Least AMD approach to thing is trying to push PC gaming forward. TrueAudio was an excellent idea for bring back true hardware audio that was forgot about.. Sadly things like this never take off "PhysX" when was the last time a game used that?
Everything AMD does is with in good reason for the PC platform nothing is every to shut off Nvidia.. Shame the same can not be said for Nvidia!! Otherwise PC gaming would be so much better now, Had Nvidia left AMD to keep using PhysX GPU I firmly believe we would have much more PhySx titles - Its such a shame because PhysX is a great feature. "Nope but Greed"

Least with VEGA features this time if they do take off and become something great Nvidia can add too the next GPUs its not like this type of things is locked out.

I can understand that :)

TrueAudio was used in one game (Thief) that I know of, so I would prefer that a vendor makes a specific effect and so what if it is locked to a vendor.... At least PhysX was used in a load of games. AMD make the effects and that is it. No game company really takes it up.

There seems to be a lot of innovation on the consoles that isn't being translated on the pc.

Are Nvidia holding us back?

Sure they are accelerating DX11 faster and faster. But they don't have great support for the next gen API's considering they are the biggest player.

Lowest common denominator would point to Nvidia being the bottle neck.

But if you can't beat them join em.

They is some really big difference in how these both are added into games though. TrueAudio has to be coded par game more time and cost just wasn't worth it.
Physx the work is there and done for devs to use with Nvidia Gameworks files ready to be used.

I would really love a hardware Physx that both amd and nvidia can use.

I was under impression that with AMD hardware in all consoles that porting games from console to pc would be easier so surely the technologies would come across too? if so what has that got to do with an Nvidia?

I did. I loved ATi/AMD til my 295x2 started giving me unacceptable performance/support for new games so I ditched it and went 980 SLi and never looked back. And now SLi has gone the same way and I've gone with a single powerful card :D

I used to be a mainly Red team guy too. Damn shame.

So you lost some respect for amd because of crossfire and now nvidia sli support is lacking you still respect them more?

No wounder amd lack support from the pc community. Crossfire suck, so does sli but amd still sucks Haaa :)

You hit the nail on the head. But Nvidia are the biggest player on the pc.

So logically you have to think it's Nvidia's doing why these features haven't made it pc side.

No, I mean I'm having generally a better experience using nVidia now than I used to have sometimes using ATi/AMD. Although my Fury use a few months ago was pretty positive.

Both crapfire and sli suck balls now imo, unless you enjoy playing years old games like LtMatt :D

Isn't that doing to be the issue with some of the Vega features that need to be coded for each game?
Vega initially at least will only be a tiny proportion of the gaming cards in use so to expect Devs and publishers to spend a lot of time and money supporting niche features is asking a lot and doesn't make sense.

These things take time, pc engines still nerd to be built to support all this cross platform development. Amd is still building its tools for this easy porting. Just released the Profiler into the recent drivers.
The new Xbox will be a massive success for pc gaming bring directx 12 closer to pc.
