I'd be very concerned about the noise levels on these, much louder than the 1080fe which is already unacceptably loud

Jesus!

Anyone seen the noise level for the liquid cooled one?

Frankly I don't care. As I said previously several times - hell could freeze over before I give NV any more of my money - like Yodel/HDN, Amazon and anything the Murdoch's touch they are on my banned list.

Checkout time was 14:00:00 - though only just got the email at 14:10

Bit of a strange way to go about it considering you would have a card 30-40% quicker, quieter and use a lot less power whether you like NV or not.

TPU is quite critical on AMD cards, and yet they gave Vega56,a 9.2 and an Editors award. Vega64 does not seem so hot by comparison if you look at the charts. Its 10% faster for a massive increase in power consumption.

It's a shame AMD couldn't pull off the double on the CPU and GPU scene, from what I understand though their CPU and GPU divisions are pretty much seperate entities and there's still meant to be some old fogi's around from the ATI days holding things back.

56 looks decent and might be what I go for dependant on pricing.

Surprised at the hate. Price is better than was being touted, performance is where we all pretty much expected and it is a very capable card. Whilst not the best of cards or prices, AMD have done well with a limited budget and gives Freesync owners a chance to turn the settings up in games.

Suspicions confirmed, pricing isn't as bad as mist thought currently but not buying a reference card. Will wait for AIB cards and see what they do with the 56 but its looking unlikely that ill get one of those either as I cant see it being worth it over my Fury for the cost difference

I completely agree.

I am happy and sad.

I am really happy I got my 980ti when I had enough of what AMD were doing what they are doing now. I am sad to whats happened to AMD and what they are trying to sell. I think anyone buying VEGA knowing it is slower, louder and more power hungry need to have a long hard look at themselves. Its like pre-ordering of games that get released that are broken and need endless patches, until people stop pre-ordering then this problem wont go away. Same for AMD, if people vote with their wallets they will be forced to release better bang for buck, power vs performance cards to make them relevant.

Vega56 looks OK TBH and is very close to the Vega64 too,and it seems a bit quicker than a GTX1070. Vega64 once the price goes up will be pointless,so it makes more sense to look at what Nvidia has.
