The £639 price was tempting for the Aqua Vega, but now it's gone up to £698 I guess it's decided for me to go for a 1080ti instead.. AMD really dropped the ball on pricing.

Why would I pay the same price for something that isn't as powerful, uses twice as much power and howls as loud as Eurofighter on afterburn ?

Ask all the people who bought the FX5800 :O

I was tempted to do that but tohught better of it ..kind of dislike that practice
Yeah. Felt the same. Could not be asked in the end.

So both are now £698 :D

I think it's 1080Ti time.

Waiting on Volta myself. It should come out around the time new games I want to play release. In the mean time will be on the look out for a G-Sync monitor again.

I was about to get the AIO version as free games tempted me, but all sold out... Including the Air versions. Managed to see a competitor had the air lauch price version in stock though so got that one coming tomorrow.

Will the Kraken G10 fit this thing?

I don't think I can stomach an AMD reference card
And I don't agree with paying the same price for the same performance 16 months on.

As it stands I'm sticking with my 290x

Because price is going to go up by almost £100 to get performance that Nvidia have had for like 14 months?
If this really happens it'll kill sales I would imagine. At £450 you can see AMD just about picking up some sales from people with FreeSync monitors. At £550? That's a lot of money to spend on perf that's been available in a green package for 18 months, and will be EOL in a few more...

Asking people to pay £100 more for 18 month old performance because they have a FS screen might wash once - just - but if I were AMD I wouldn't make a habit of it :p

1000 sold in less than 30 minutes according to Gibbo.

Fastest ever apparently so plenty of people not thinking these are rubbish!

We seem to get this quote from him every release, I don't see at all how these cards would be the fastest selling ever but the world as of late has been full of surprise decisions by people.

Still not a great achievement given the RX 580 is basically a pre-overclocked card.

By AMD standards its an improvement since it is much faster, and made on the same process node. Even if you were to look at the performance per watt against the reference RX480 which throttles a lot,it actually improves on it at qHD and 4K.

Edit!!

AIB RX480 cards are generally worse too, than the reference one.
