The Ampere RTX 3090 Owners Thread

I still can't even test mine... waiting on a 5950x which i HOPE arrives this week :( and also EK blocks this week. and a screen :D

Supply issues are terrible not just for the newly released parts.

Arrived yesterday ASUS TUF OC 3090..

Made a post but if anyone has the same card, have you experienced a super hot backplate on it? Hot enough you can't touch even though its just browing web/emails?

For what it's worth, I just got shipment notification for my strix 3090 block from EKWB. Finally able to put it under liquid hopefully this weekend! Looking forward to getting some decent overclocks on the thing to set some benchmarks

Quite the setup...bit overkill for me, as I have a wife, three kids and a mortgage........Nice though never the less! That is a lot of RAM to refresh per clock cycle....

Despite the trinity block/plate showing as in stock mine hasn't sat at processing for a good few days... annoying!

Thoughts? Biggest purchase in every sense of the word. Its bloody massive its about the size of a brick and about as heavy it takes up 3 slots and I actually have three thumbscrews securing it tightly normally I only bother with one on two slot cards, but the thought of that thing breaking loose it would probably knock a hole in the bottom of the case. I'm joking. But my lord its heavy. I wouldn't want it any longer either it fits but any bigger I'm going to need a new case or remove some cages. It is solidly built though and oozes quality (FE). Its also remarkably quiet in use though it consumes vast amounts of power (350W, 400W if you OC it. Tried that but it only equalled a few more fps and I'm not sure its worth it)

Nice! Just checked the dimensions of my frostbite arriving tomorrow, had to take a second glance! It's 2 slots, with a length of 226mm and a width of 135mm. Slightly smaller than my 1080Ti under the EKWB!

Is anyone else having problems overclocking the memory?

Time spy says Memory clock frequency 1,237 MHz (1,219 MHz) GPU-z says the same.

But if I use either EVGA X or Afterburner and overclock the memory by 200, nothing happens!

This is with my RTX3090 VENTUS 3X OC.
 
OK so after today it didnt update on the tracker by 10:30am I rang the local DPD site. After about 3 mins of ring a guy answered. He said its out and the scanner thing is offline the guy will update his route accordingly.. so without any more boredom of what I said to him he said it will be with me today. I went to pick my son up from playschool and came home and it was on my doorstep lol.

So here she is:



This is no ****, it flashed up on my phone right now (13:10) the DPD notification (I have installed it in my PC as it came at 11:30)... PMSL:



Please spare a thought for us over the water, where DPD is horrendous and why I hate companies using them without offering an alternative. :)
