I have the same card and came from a 1080 so it's an even bigger jump for me. I can justify the price by saying to myself that I did skip Turing completely so the cost of the 3090 is the cost of Pascal plus Turing combined.
That's a similar view to how I looked at it. Actually set out to buy a 3080 but with the price going up and only 10gb. I wanted something to last me at least 3 years. Could have waited for the 3080ti but I reckon its going to be £1000 rrp meaning £1200 until 2022.
