To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your RTX 3090

It should stay @ 2000Mhz boost

Mine is supposed to OC boost to 1800. I always get 2000 boost so I don't need to overclock it.
It's about 50c on air. I do have a 120 fan blowing the back :)

Well, it does stay a lot closer to 2000Mhz at stock operation. In some games it is above.

Not sure if it's because I am playing at 4K without V-Sync or anything.

The initial spike always comes down straight away.

Temps shouldn't be that much of an issue and I see the only major factor the power limit always on.

When I overclocked at +120 it goes up to 2190 or something like that but comes right back down again.

NV boost works on what temps the card is at.

If I leave my fans at stock it stays at 1780Mhz and 70C.

I was going to get an alphacool AIO, but I don't see the point now.
I'm hard of hearing so the fans doing 90% doesn't bother me :D

Do you guys update your cards bios from the manufacturers website and is it necessary?
I think it's worth checking up every so often after the initial install and update to see what your manufacturer has updated. Gpu's are a lot more like a motherboard these days, as they get more complicated I expect more and more aibs to provide software that lets you know if there's a firmware update for your gpu.
You can flash other manufacturers bios if you want to take advantage or use a higher power limit as is the case for the hardcore overclocking scene.
But I think it's just good practice to keep your manufacturers bios updated as standard

It depends on the game in question and how much power it can drink. With a 3090FE with a slight undervolt (compared to stock) of 1.075v I can settle in at 2190Mhz / 2175 Mhz with peaks to 2205 Mhz. However that's because even at 4k, the game does not seem to engage everything and my power consumption does not hit the limit, usually 360w or so. However if I fire up a game like Cyberpunk 2077 or control which do RT and are more intensive, will smash into the 400w power limit of the FE model with the same settings. I imagine your similar with the Zotac your smashing into the power limit in certain games. I imagine something like the strix with its 500w+ BIOS may be able to stabilize slightly higher clock with same chip, then again 500w oif heat may mean hotter core so not so much.

You explained it well. That was kind of my thinking.

I tried numerous settings but it is just heavily power limited at 365W max for the Palit Gaming Pro OC.

Been thinking that 1875Mhz @ 825mv is pretty much optimal.

It is where the stock clock hovers at around 900-950mv anyway at higher temps and at power limit.

This is tested in Heaven 4.0.

When I overclock it only bounces around between 1900-2000 Mhz anyway.

Always worth checking, had my 3090 Strix OC on the 15th and noticed they released a BIOS update on the 14th. I had no issues updating immediately a few minutes after installing the card.

My fixes were these so definitely worth doing.

Further optimize the performance for 0dB fan feature
- Fixed motherboard “beeping” bug during computer start-up

Guys i am looking to water cool my Zotac 3090, i currently have a spare Alphacool Eisabaer 360 radiator which features quick release fasteners.

This is the one.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/alph...er-cooling-unit-360mm-hs-006-ac.html#comments

Then combine it with this water block.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/alph...-water-block-reference-acrylic-wc-0bj-ac.html

which would also require me to buy the “Eisbaer” Quick-Connect Extension Kit.

Does this look correct ?
that would work, but where will you leave the pump, since it's built into the cpublock on the Eisbear

you could see if they do radiator with connectors for the eisbear I think they may do. Since teh Eisbear was supposed to be expandable system I think it has the power to do cpu gpu and 2 rads. But I would check Alphacool forums to be sure.
Or just buy small pump res combo and do dedicated gpu loop, if you're going to OC the 3090, I think you can justify a small loop for the card, will keep it cool and quiet

Thanks i shall do some more digging and reading, i just thought with me having the spare Alphacool Eisabaer 360 radiator i could safe a few £££ and utilize it some how, must be a way to add a pump into the mix!

Got sick of waiting and caved in. Ideally I was after a 3080FE but its just too difficult and time consuming to get one right now, so went for this terrible value alternative instead.

Lots of good gaming going to be happening on this over the festive period, Merry Christmas OCKers :)

Personally yes depending on the refresh of your monitor. 100+ I'd day 3090 is great, can run pretty much everything on ultra and bask in the visual splendour.

There's one on the MM alrwady... ;)

Just bagged a 3090 vision for £1560 :D

Really pleased with that!!

Got the 12pin from Corsair delivered yesterday, fitted this morning and looks much better than having to use the supplied adapter.

I have the bequiet Dark Pro 4 but the fans are black. Have you swapped it out?
