Well, I think Android has now matured to the point where a dedicated gaming thread is a viable thing. There's a fair few cool games out for it now, and I thought it would be a good idea to have a place to share news and tips on whats hot and whats not. Here is a list of games I have installed at the moment, all are 4* and above on the Market, so worth a download. The ones starred are ones that I can vouch for and have played... the rest i've flitted in or out of, or have yet to play.

Plants VS Zombies is pretty much essential IMO, been hooked on it for weeks. The gameplay is 5* but the graphics let it down, seem really low resolution.

Just started playing this and am having fun with it. Still at that stage of discovering the tactics to playing it but will see how long it holds it's enjoyment.

Does have layout issues on my Atrix though due to it's higher screen res.

Of the tower defense type games listed, or others, which would be a good one to start with?
 
No Angry Birds? I guess everybody has played it already but surely it's worthy of the list.

Should add Words with Friends and Wordfeud too.

A good cartoony one, yes, don't expect proper PGA simulation.

Im addicted to Grave Defense HD at the moment... fiendishly difficult even no Normal!

I liked that too, but TR edged it for me, various mobs, a good selection of towers and upgrades, and even special powers like you get in Sol Survivor.

Just ot be clear... the list was just the games I have installed and play, not some kind of definitive Android games list.
