The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

I'm quite particular about the CE editions I buy, so I'm going to stay away from any mystery boxes. Interested to see if we get any new releases though that I can pre-order.

I pre-ordered the Death Parade CE, just seeing what else comes along :)

Not planning on picking up much this year, due to, well, having most things on offer already. So far ordered:

Cardcaptor Sakura (pre-order)
Bodacious Space Pirates collection BD (to replace my US copy)
Chrome Shelled Regios collection DVD (I thought I had this but can't find it)

There are some good cheap offers I would buy, but I've got the things I want already. I didn't both with the blind boxes as the chances of getting duplicates was too high.

Silver Spoon Complete Series 1+2 Limited Edition Blu-ray Off ATA for £31.50 using discount code "12DAYS-HEFPFHWJ"
Chrome Shelled Regios collection DVD Off AOL for £3.99

i suspect i end up buying blood-c collection off ATA when that come available for pre-order.

. :/

It turns out my run with Fed-ex having time machines for their tracking may be continuing.
My delivery was meant to be by 6pm today and still states that, but it still doesn't look like it's reached the local delivery depot :p
I know they're busy but it often seems that fed-ex deliver a couple of days late whilst still stating delivery expected by X day when it's X+2 or X+4 ;)

Looking at your order list I think i've got much of that, but have been filling in some gaps (I might order Shana season 2 and Grimaire of zero 2-4)

Anyone watch Hunter X Hunter 2011? This is the greatest anime I've ever watched.

Yes but I didn't finish it, it wasn't bad but I think long running shonen shows aren't for me, too many episodes so it's all stretched out. HxH also suffers from not having an actual ending and the manga has been ongoing forever, may never finish!

Can any one reccomend a good site to order anime blu rays from e.g. a specialist shop perhaps.

Am sure there used to be one but can't recall it

There's a few options I've used for UK orders:

https://www.alltheanime.com - probably most up to date site, does a fair few releases. Christmas sale on at the moment.
https://www.anime-on-line.com - similar to ATA but seems smaller, less staff etc. Still they also do their own releases under the MVM banner. Christmas sales also on at the moment.
https://www.up1.co.uk - terrible site but orders seem fine, and they work OK. Tend to be a bit cheaper but the website experience shows it.
Amazon have a good selection of anime blurays as well, including releases from ATA and MVM.
Zavvi sometimes have alright sales on especially on the Manga titles.

I guess the top 2-3 in my list would benefit more from your business as they rely on a smaller customer base :)

Where did you stop? This isn't long running, only 148 episodes although the manga as 2 arcs ahead if I'm not mistaken. Manga gas been hiatus for 3 years or so.

Episode 70 odd, but I just struggled to find the will to watch more which is usually a sign I should stop

Most of the shows I watch are like 12-24 eps, some go a bit longer. Longest I've seen in the last couple of years is Monogatari (100ish eps) and SAO (also 100ish).

You're like 6 episodes away from the chimera ant arc which is amazing. Just maybe watch 1 episode a day? Trust me on this one. Has crazy fights and 2 powerful transformations.

I may come back to it some day, same as like MHA, I just kind of lost steam on both.

A lot of chatter I've seen has either people loving the Chimera Ant arc or hating it! In any case it's hard for me to want to push on knowing that there will never be an ending to the anime, I very much appreciate a story with an actual ending to it.

Best shonen I think is still Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, 60 odd episodes and it's actually a full story start to finish, with great quality.

I don't mind some shonen style things but they tend to make the actual shows really long so they can keep churning them out week after week in shonen jump, which is where I think a lot of them are before they get made into anime.

What are you favourite shows @kakarott out of interest? Sort of top 5 ish, no particular order if you don't feel like it.
