The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

There is a watch order i've posted in couple threads back if you haven't watched any of the Universal century era Gundam stuff, highly recommend doing it as Hathaway is one of the Gundam movie to date.
The original Macross is worth checking out too and then Do you remember love.

If you like the over the top mecha like Gurren Lagaan etc, there is also Big O as well which has a western theme, it did get a english dub release which aired on TV years ago as well.
Not really a mecha but Outlaw star is worth checking out as well.

Catching up a bit with this thread!

Recently binged Blue eye samurai and oh my god, what a masterpiece. Not anime, but still animation and one of the best things I’ve watched

I only hear good things about Blue Eyed Samurai in this thread, I may need to check it out!

not seen Hunter Hunter though….heard that didn’t get an ending or something?

It isn't over over, but the ending spot they went with was a pretty clean break, I was happy with how it ended. It wasn't like it was in the middle of anything, felt like the ending to one story and the potential beginning of the next.

I'm also loving The Apothecary Diaries and so happy its on its 2nd cour. MaoMao is such a fun and expressive character

Yes the writing and characters really make this show great, it's growing on me the more I watch of it as well, I wasn't instantly in love with it, but MaoMao is not your typical tropey character, and she actually has a personality.

Never heard of Psycho Pass will defo check it out. Thanks.

imo - Season 1 was strong, and worked pretty well on it's own. The other seasons didn't seem to really progress much.

Liked the ED song on Psycho Pass S1 as well.

thinking i might do JJK or Spy X Family next

Spy x Family starts off well but it's very slow and gets stuck into filler episodes where nothing happens. If you don't mind that, you'll probably like it.

Been waiting patiently for this and finally announced. "Dorohedoro" sequel anime announced

Awesome! I've seen the previous one.

Okay, so I'm looking for any new mecha or cyberpunk (watched 2077 variant) anime... anyone got anything juicy for me to watch?

Akudama Drive is a modern Cyberpunk themed anime - https://myanimelist.net/anime/41433/Akudama_Drive

I started Hunter Hunter...I know it's old, perhaps the start of these dungeon style anime but I had to turn it off because it feels like a show for 10 year olds?

Does it get more adult or violent? lol I think my brained has been wired differently the past couple of years with JJK, Demon Slayer, AoT where it is more adult orientated.

It does, for sure. It's a bit of an ask to see if you still like it later though I think if you're not into it pretty early.

The original or 2011? And yes it does get violent, just give it a chance, trust me on that.

Watched the first episode of Bang Brave Bang Bravern. Very cheesy and a few cringing bits. I get what they are going but might be too much for some.

This is just flat out cheeky of them, this is the second time they are doing this now.
Since they did it with airing the night district finale + beginning of hidden sword village

I'll just wait for the new season to officially air. Didn't feel like I missed anything last time they did this.
I'll be doing the same as well, shame really as they aired the complete mugen train arc as movie which would have been fine as a movie.
At least you can skip watching a season, since they would just re-air it as a 20min episode each week.

Yeah that one made more sense as it was basically a movie in length as well, the season did wind up with some extra footage as I recall compared with the movie release.
