Hamas are not a terrorist organisation.
Right.

I don't think they are - their country has been invaded by a foreign aggressor committing atrocities for more than half a century.

The West has perpetrated the vast majority of 'terrorism' in the last century if we go by the literal definition. The past decade or two has warped and brainwashed us into thinking that terrorists = baddies when it reality, a lot of the time, we'd call them freedom fighters if our worldviews were different.

The Nazis would've said the French resistance were terrorists... it's all a matter of perspective.

Oh that old excuse, so why is there terrorism in countries that haven't had "western intervention"

Il list just a few of them for you:

India
Indonesia
Nigeria
Kenya
Burkina Faso
The philippines
Niger

France has had 250+ citizens murdered by Islamic crackpots and they were against the war in Iraq, what did they do to deserve it?

Pretty sure every country you've listed has had 'western intervention'

So you are saying that Isis Al Qaida boko horam the Taliban are all freedom fighters and the west are evil.

You my friend are nuts, pure and simple.

Hamas have been involved in stuff like intentionally targeting civilians with ATGMs, etc. I don't think that really qualifies as not terrorists.

Jeremy, is that you?

No, I'm saying that Hamas are not a terrorist organisation just because Israel says they are. There are very real and legitimate reasons for their existence.

The Taliban are an interesting one to bring up because they too came about as a reaction to an invading force, the USSR.

The rest are actual terrorist organisations and I have no problem with them being labelled as such.

Hamas' actions are what makes them a terrorist organisation, not Israel saying they are.

Then you've no problem with the French resistence being retrospectively classified as terrorists instead of heroes since they targeted civilian collaborators also, including their families? Innocent children and elderly parents being killed in their homes.

The entire civilised world disagrees with you, Hamas are a terrorist organisation, nobody care's what you think.

Not such a simple one to answer as you've added collaborators in there - which may make them a threat rather than indiscriminate civilian targets which is clearly unlawful.

As if I'm posting here because I think anyone cares what I think???

Nobody gives a **** about anything you post either... and you're wrong.

Canada, the European Union, Israel, Japan and the United States classify Hamas as a terrorist organization. Australia, New Zealand, Paraguay and the United Kingdom classify only its military wing as a terrorist organization. It is not considered a terrorist organization by Brazil, China, Egypt, Iran, Norway, Qatar, Russia, Syria and Turkey. In December 2018, the United Nations General Assembly rejected a U.S. resolution condemning Hamas as a terrorist organization.[h]

Seems it's terrorist status is quite up for debate.

Also, the West isn't the entire civilised world. Western hypocrisy is widely taught and discussed in Asia.

Indeed - it isn't so simple. Would you have died at the hands of Nazis for not doing what they asked? Rather than face the threat of being killed by resistance fighers instead? A lot of collaborators didn't do so willingly. Where their family members automatically fair game?

But if the Nazis had won the war, there's no doubt the French resistance wouldn't have the heroic reputation they now do. The victor writes history as they say.

I was meaning more in the context you've ringed in your post.

If they had a policy of for instance retaliatory attacks against the families of collaborators that would be one thing (I really don't know that much about them).

Hamas has no problem with indiscriminate attacks against Israeli civilians.

Hamas' stated aim is the destruction of israel as a state. They are not fighting aggressors, they are the aggressors.

Oh right, if the Ayatollah of Iran doesn't consider them a terrorist organisation that obviously means they aren't, could that be the same country that funds the rockets they fire at Israel?

LOL

Iran, China, Russia, Egypt, Syria some amazing examples of free loving countries there...I bet even North Korea is on that list.

In theory France had already surrendered so were by defacto in collaboration from top down at that point.

So yes the French resistance were terrorists but weren't specifically targeting civilians, more aimed at disruption of the German war plan by sabotage.

Could be worse the Israeli gov could be wrapping bombs around them ala Hamas interesting article on the issue, but I'm sure it's all lies.

So what's your thoughts on that little nugget eh?

I take it you didn't actually bother to read the article. Because it's not about suicide bombers, of which there's only been 2 in the last 13 years.
