This was a great episode imo... the ginge and Jenny (boy would she get it) did deserve to go, but I really dislike Michael too, he's a complete prat. The whole little aside where he was talking (boasting?) about how arrogant he was just made me want to slap him I mean ffs... the scary thing is that he doesn't see anything wrong with it.
Claire is by no means the worst candidate there, she does get results, but by her own admission is a pitbull terrier... which is all well and good but sometimes the situation demands for a bit of poodle, a little softness and subtlety. She has proved time and time again that she has none either on a person level with her interaction with others, or on a business level such as this week with the horrendous bargaining at the marketplace being a good example. With her character attributes I would not trust her with my business affairs: I think she's a loose cannon. A bull in a china shop.
The other Northern girl whose name escapes me should definately go soon imo... the one who is continually horrible to Lucinda such as in the photo task. I think she is completely devoid of any decent or affable personality traits or charisma, and she is another who I would not want let loose in my business, I could see her rubbing a lot of people up the wrong way. Horrible woman.
Lucinda is a sleeper candidate... she has a completely different style to anyone else maybe barring Raith. She is the very element of poodle... unthreatening, softly spoken, yet seems to be able to get things done within her skill-set... it's stepping out of her comfort zones where she seems to have some real problems, but overall I think she is one of the stronger candidates, and will reach the later stages of the game.
Alex is another who while not the weakest candidate, has few redeeming qualities. He is a true whiner, who rather than just get on with a job as instructed without complaint, will duck and dive in an effort to get his own way or get out of the firing line. From what i've seen he behaves like a kid, throwing little tantrums when he doesn't get his own way, a real sulker.
Lee (think that's his name), the tall southerner, will go soon. I think while he has made no major ****-ups, he doesn't strike me as the sharpest tool in the box, and i've yet to see anything significant from him in this competition. I can't see him going through to the end in this.
Raef for me is the lead candidate for this job... the strongest all-rounder. Yes he can be a bit of a plonker, but he is also brimming with self-confidence, has a certain amount of charm, and has shown that he has a cool and unflappable head on his shoulders. I also like the way he is slow to point the finger at anyone and is quick to stick up for others under fire, such as when the Asian girl was getting grief after the boardroom last week. He seems like a nice guy with good business sense, and i'd be happy leaving him alone with clients. Any of his bad habits would soon be lost imo once he was up and running.
EDIT - Aaaaand breathe...
