The Apprentice 2022 - starts 6th Jan 2100 BBC1

Alex made such a mess of that. Who can you forget to sell your manin catch of the day?

The moment that happened you knew he had to go if his team didn't win the challenge. The fact they also didn't ask when to deliver the fish by as well was just a disaster.

The only good contestant that stood out so far is Francesca, she's rather easy on the eye too ;)

Even the winning team only made £300 which is dreadful for a team of six people over two days. I bet that doesn't include the cost of renting the boat for a day either.

We noticed one girl last night (Brittany) who has only just appeared in the periphery each week, I don't think she's done anything at all in any of the tasks.

Is she the one who's got a really flat face when you see her in profile?

Caught up on the 4 episodes earlier.

How in the hell did the girls win that toothbrush task? That app was absolute garbage… at least the boys one (albeit boring) taught kids how to brush around their mouth.

The goal posts keep moving each task too. One minute you’re crucified for offering to change your product after a grilling by the experts… the next you’re binned if you don’t bend over and change everything about your product.

Glad that Pharmacist went, he was a total bell.

Sure they just make up the rules / etc as they go along to suit the editing / what happened / who they want shot of. AMS claimed last nights was the "worst ever" performance - they still made money, albeit not much. Remember past ones where they have been crucified for actually losing money / zero profit

It's just an entertainment / game show now - nothing more to it than that really

Exactly but I asked the question above "Do they only choose people who have never seen The Apprentice" because I'm pretty sure if any of us were on there we'd be thinking about past tasks and how to go about it.
Every season the same mistakes are made repeatedly.

I think this could be the first series where I have not settled on rooting for someone to win. They all seem completely naff. I thought the guy who got chucked off this week (Alex) could have improved.

I Love this show.

I consistently feel like I could have run a better project when I was doing GCSE design and communication and maths.

I know the editing is harsh but how can these people be so incompetent?

I've been watching some of the "best bits" of older seasons on YouTube.

Secretly hoping they bring back Claude Littner for the final interviews again. Those were always the best bits :D

Gave up with it this season, the product based tasks were always my least favourite and that's all the seemed to be doing. I guess covid restrictions have made some of the better tasks impossible.

I wonder how they'd fare if they got to fix their mistakes? I don't blame the girl for misspelling Arctic, when the 2 next to her didn't notice. The graphics designer with spellcheck on Photoshop was probably told to ignore it for laughs.

I know they edit it to make them look stupid, but that's much easier when you can only criticise, not fix. What's the point of focus groups post-product?

They even say during the toothbrush pitch that they'll fix the mistakes, and Karen with her usual snark says "normally you change a couple things, not everything". Damned if you do...

More a case of they do exactly what they're told by the team. It was said multiple times that the designer was given a pad with the name already written out so they'd have done exactly what they were asked to do. The designer is there to translate the ideas into reality whether they're correct or not. It's like when people get a tattoo that's spelt wrong and blame the artist when the artist has just done exactly what they were asked. My daughter recently had something sent to her by a friend which had custom printing and a rogue apostrophe. It wasn't the responsibility of the printer to correct the apostrophe in the same way it's not the responsibility of the designer to correct a spelling.

In the same way that neither Nick or Margaret or Fat Karren or Tim or any of them ever comment on their mistakes while they're making them.

Although I do remember Nick did mention something once.
