The Apprentice Series 7

I want Melody to get to the interview stage just so we can find out about her wild claims of success.

I'm betting "personally trained by Al Gore" is actually more like, shook hands with him once at a rally and he said hi.

All these "woman of the year" for Asia awards sound pretty far fetched too - Im sure they will end up being from some small company that sells you awards if you are willing to pay for them.

As they're now down to 7 I think next week should be the last of the tasks and then it'll be the interviews. My favorite episode of every series. I can't wait for Melody to get a grilling in that either.

This to me is clearly a contest between Melody and Helen.. even the editing of the episode last night seemed to me to be pointing in that direction.

I honestly don't think the others have a look in!

I love how Melody said how conclusive her market research was that people use the train.

Well yes, you will find that when you carry out your market research......IN A TRAIN STATION!

Yeah she spoke to about four people in a metro station, and she's amazed that they all said people travel by metro in Paris? Oh dear. Everyone knows that there are loads of cars in every city.

I forgive her because she's really quite hot though.

She was dead against the rucksack/seat right from the beginning. I remember her asking some French woman what they thought of it and she said it was a good idea, Melody then translated it to Leon that they weren't very impressed, then when the "Parision's take the tram" came up she just completely ran with it to get her way.

I think Leon deserved to go even though Tom wasn't very impressive, Melody is too deceitful I can't see her winning.

Also it was funny seeing Susie's face when they announced the 200k Euros in sales, she was dying to blow her own trumpet over her 11k sale.

Anyone see "you're fired" afterwards?
Leon said he had worked for La Redoute (or whatever the name is!)!! Melody hadn't even passed on the name of the company to him at all. He wasn't aware until the boardroom lol.

She was a joke, though something was said in the boardroom that made me wonder about the end game.

The business that will be born from this, are the contestants all bringing their own business idea to the table that Sugar will fund, or is it a business that he already has his mind set on?

Leon shouldn't have been sacked over Melody. Nobody will want to work with her in business if she acts the way she did.

Worst thing was they all said that the tea pot was not a good idea and the back pack seat was a good idea!

.

£250,000 investment to start their own company, with Lord Sugar as their business partner. So their idea.

I wonder

- How much the BBC pays Sugar.
- How much Sugar pays the apprentices.
- How much the BBC pays the apprentices.
- How much of the £250k is paid for by the BBC.
- Whether the BBC end up with shares in any of Sugar's companies.
- Whether this whole thing actually costs Sugar a penny net, and is actually just excellent exposure for him and his businesses.
- Whether any apprentice has ever been sued for revealing information during or after the competition.

I wonder lots of things! :p

- How much the BBC pays Sugar.Don't know
- How much Sugar pays the apprentices. It was £100k, now it's just an investment.
- How much the BBC pays the apprentices.Nothing
- How much of the £250k is paid for by the BBC.Probably zero
- Whether the BBC end up with shares in any of Sugar's companies. Not a chance
- Whether this whole thing actually costs Sugar a penny net, and is actually just excellent exposure for him and his businesses.Costs him nothing expect his time
- Whether any apprentice has ever been sued for revealing information during or after the competition.

Also:

BOARDROOM receptionist Frances is an actress, not Sir Alan's real secretary. He calls her Frances as that's the name of his real PA

THE boardroom is in fact in a TV studio in West London.

THE post-firing taxi ride takes the candidate around the block to allow their interview to be filmed. They are then taken to a hotel to stay the night and finally leave the next day

I'm sure the board room is in a actual building not a TV studio, I seem to remember some posting in the 'view of your office window' thread, and saying the building opposite, or it might have been the building they were is was where it was filmed.

Last nights episode was so easy to predict with how it was edited, it was very annoying to be honest. I can't be bothered ranting about Melody and her ****ing market research which was on people who were in the ****ing Metro!!! Oh and when she spoke to Tom on the phone... she said everyone loved the lamp idea, but the people she asked thought it was strange and liked the backpack idea actually more.

Loved the editing for Leon though with the "she talks to them all in French".

Re: The business idea, if they have all had to put an idea forward initially to be accepted as a candidate on the show, they surely LAS will have a good idea of who has the best idea and would want to choose any way without having to do the program, it seems a bit flawed to be honest this business partner scenario.
