The Apprentice Series 7

Thought about it many a time, i was convinced i'd win when i was about 22 and it's 4 years since then and nothing's changed! Though i don't want to come across as a Business tit who would step on anyone to kiss Lord Alan's boot.

There is nothing wrong with using the Apprentice show as a springboard for your (business) career. Virtually all previous winners have done this.

Go on the show. Do well. And it should open doors for you.

I always suggest that if people think they are good enough to win a competition, they should enter it...especially if it improves their circumstances in some way.

Well thats the real key to all of these reality shows on tv nowadays isn't it. It's not about winning the actual competition, it's all about publicity and being seen.

I'm sure thre are contestants that haven't won, but have gone on to do other media things, that they otherwise, wouldn't have had the chance to do.

It's the same thing with The X Factor, BGT etc, it's all publicity. Look at how many people have been on those showws, who haven't won, but have gone on to have successful careers because of it.

Free publicity, that's all it is...especially for Mr Sugar.

Jedward were terrible singers but the last I heard, they were millionaires and they are not even fully grown adults.

By entering these competitions (much like the lottery), you are effectively buying your ticket, when you enter the Apprentice, XFactor, etc.

i saw that Stuart bagg bloke on the bbc game show pointless the other day.

on a side note never watch pointless it's a tedious show.

I believe Tom told Leon to do the research (over the phone)...it might've been Melody...can't remember. The fact that Leon actually had worked for LaRedoute was another clanger which came out, only in the after-show on BBC2. Had that been mentioned in the board room, I think it would've been an instant firing for Leon.

It was mentioned in the board room. In fact I'm sure Karen/Sugar brought it up.. I don't watch the after show programme but I distinctly remember them talking about it.

Leon should never had got past week 1 tbh.

iirc it was brough up in the board room by tom as he said he specifically asked melody to find info about them on the phone, then she never told leon to do this.

iirc leon didn't exactly work for laredoute but instead of the companies they own, so it's like saying he worked as a weekend sales man for carphone warehouse then gets asked to research best buy europe and he's expected to know who they are

Helen: Very level headed, performed well in tasks, feel like she should be able to handle the interview environment, probably has a decent business plan. One downside could be LS having worries about the fact she just works for other people and hasn't had her own business.

Jim: I could see him filling a role for LS, undoubtedly a good salesman but not sure if he would make a good business partner, it was pretty telling in the latest task when he tried to blag his business plan... 60 customers over 2hrs (fast food, lol) at £7 a pop.... that's £4800!!

Susan: To be fair to the girl she's done well given her background, fresh upstart and ONLY TWENTY-ONE!! However, although she is insightful at times she is also incredibly naive at times and comes out with stupid statements. I think it is too soon for her, maybe in five years when she has more maturity she would make a good partner.

Tom: Difficult to say, under the old format he would be a strong candidate as he could take a £100k job and still be managed, he's the type of guy who could be very successful with the right leadership. A bit too 'wet' for a partner maybe? I do expect him to have a well prepared business plan however, and I think LS likes the fact that he's a product man who could come up with good ideas.

:/ Really that Autotune thing was just meh i dont understand why thats good. Might be technically clever to make but its rubbish to listen to. Just my opinion :O
