The Apprentice

The main problem with this competition is that it is a competition!

Ive heard Alan mention on several occasions that he isnt employing a team, just one person.

In this competitive situation everyone involved wants to be "the apprentice" so of course they will do what ever they need to do to make themselves look the best, however in real life they may not be like this.

In real life it is the team that matters, not the individual.

As long as Syed gets a royal verbal kicking before hes sacked then ill be very happy!

Ruth.....Got a face I wouldn't tire of smacking.

lol I said that about Sharon last week! :D

Think it's a shame though that so many comments about Ruth have to be attached to 'dyke' or some such other comment. Just because she's not some gorgeous fantastic looking bird, doesn't detract from her abilities at all.

And yes, the BBC servers suck hard!

I think there's WAY to much emphasis on sales in this series :( There's more to being good in business than being able to sell to people on the street!

lets face it, whatever they do, SAS has the opposite argument already lined up.

If they're a good team player, it's not about the team - they won't be there when the apprentice finally starts their job.

If they are a good individual worker, it's no good if you can't work as part of a team.

if they're good at sales, it's about other aspects. If they're crap at sales, it's all about sales! It's a telly show at the end of the day, albeit a ruddy addictive one.

I missed this last night and the Sky+ box failed to record it so I was forced to watch it on BBC streaming and it was awful.

Anyway, the final episode hasn't yet been recorded. In fact, two of the candidates were seen in Nico's, which is the sandwich bar opposite from Brentwood House (the doors that the candidates are seen walking out from in the end sequence) earlier this week. It was a bit annoying to see them as it means I know of a couple who are still in. Maybe they are the final two?

I'm not saying who though!

I bet its that John and Margeret (John the old dude whos SAS' aide)

Ruth was efficient as always but struggles to take direction so wouldn't make much of an apprentice.

Paul is becoming more petulant and sulky by the week.

Syed needs stitches........to his mouth to stop the endless drivel that comes out and miracle of miracles he necer mentioned the East End once this week!!

Ansell looks good with a relaxed style but hasn't really performed that well in general tasks as opposed to selling.

As per my last post I think Michelle has the look of the winner to me.

She may be haughty and distant at times but she does have a backbone and I think she dealt with Paul very well while he was having his schoolboy tantrum. SAS mentioned with last week's challenge that the apprentice would be doing what he has done (ie) taking new products to market, and Michelle acquitted herself well in last week's task (despite Ruth's condecending remarks about her sale) and, in my opinion, made all the right moves as the project manager this week.....and more importantly is still visibly not stuck in a groove like most of the others seem to be.

It's the Pit Bull (Ruth) versus the Piranha (Michelle) in the Final for me!!

Quite liking the Apprentice, I've learnt quite a bit from the show, business wise. :)
1: How not to sell things.
2: How to **** customers and your employer off.
3: Salesmen really are evil.
;)

No swearing.

The only thing that would make me happier than if they kicked Syed off the show, would be if they kicked Paul off the show. :o

But setirously...can they really justify keeping Syed around one more week? After all the mistakes he's made? I just hope he's on the losing team, and then he's gone. :p

They have to keep the show entertaining. And right now Syed is providing the entertainment. If he left, i think the show would lose a lot of its entertainment value and would become very serious.

Lol lol lol! Not a chance. She's definitely the worst out of who's left. She's got nothing, absolutely nothing to offer. Plus her accent is annoying. She'll be gone this week for sure!

Just a small bump this week. Nevertheless, switch over to BBC2 now for The Apprentice. It looks like this is the episode where they have to host some sort of party on a boat :)
