Anyone else got this on now on BBC2, or is everyone watching the football? I'm having to watch it on a 14" portable as parents have the football on in the other room.

I don't know what it is about Sir Alan Sugar, but I'm not particularly keen on him as a person, although respect he has done rather well for himself!

I think he comes accross very badly, and would be awful to work for. What's the point in having vast amounts of money if you end up like him?

Yeah im watching it, i've turned the footy off to watch it!

Sugars not them nicest person no but he makes the show what it is, without his caustic put downs on some of these smug love themeselves contestants the show wouldnt be half as good.

Have you learnt nothing through Duck Tales ("Woooo-ooooo")?

It's so you can have a large silo of money to swim in. :D

I find the contestants on these programs repulsive, almost as bad as your bog standard reality tv fodder. I watched the American one because it was interesting seeing people crash and burn and Donald Trump was always good value.

I can't get into this one, I don't think much of Alan Sugar and the other smarmy gits are grating already.

That is what I love about Alan Sugar, his no-holds-barred aproach to things, he says what he means. Which I think is a quality missing in todays society, nobody says what they mean anymore...

I don't doubt he's ruthless (you don't get to the position he's in without that), but it's still an act. He's trying to do the business version of Anne Robinson (Weakest Link). Bear in mind this is (I believe) adapted from the US version, where the act would fit better.

And yes, I do think people who take part in this are money-grabbing attention whores, and I wish he'd fire all 40 of them as that's what they deserve. This is why I've already turned it off.

That's right, keep the annoying guy in, who never shuts up and will annoy absolutly everyone :p Typical reality TV then.

Thats exactly how he has done so well for himself. No nonsense etc

girls should have lost. Its not business what they did. Ben shouldn't have been sacked, the bloke who "cant sell" should have been 'cause he did absolutely nothing.

Is it repeated at all?

I never watched the UK one but watched last years US one which was impressive and I'm dying to see how Alan Sugar does.

Agreed, Alan should have sacked that annoying hyperactive woman from the first min just for being annoying.

The BBC cameras are coming to an event I'm doing next week, EPOCH 2006 at LSE it's a business competition between universities... The cameras are apprently going to be following one of the contestants of the apprentice.
