The Apprentice

It was definitely a good episode. As above, Said waiving his finger at Dun, telling him not to point at him was probably the best bit. That and him losing the client :) !

Just laughing at the names for people given here (not that I am right :)):
Dun
Dunn
Tuan
Tsung

Syed
Saeed

Gotta disagree, its not cockiness if you can back it up with the goods. :p

True she did dish the goods, respect for that, but i get a feeling she thinks she is leagues ahead of everyone else on the show.

ruth or paul will win, i think sayeed did well this week but failed too much in the past.

Sayeed did well this week? He did rubish tbh  , did well for getting the one deal though, but made so many school boy errors that would'dnt expect someone earning £££,£££'s to do thats for sure.

It's getting interesting now. Syed is more and more comical each week but when he works he works well, although he was pretty dismal this week.

Ruth was flying and did great. She ain't a badger, she's a lioness selling off her property - it's her domain and she's gonna sell it to this client or ELSE. Grr!

Ansell I think is a dark horse. He has a nice manner and seems to be able to sell almost anything. I like him.

Paul is too cocky and complains too much. "I can knock everyone's socks off" .... "I can't do anything with 4 walls!" I don't think he really knows what he's doing.

Michelle....hmm, she's alright - bit of a bi-atch, average performer.

Tuan - well, he'd given up. He's a softly-softly numbers guy - very nice person, but not the right person for the job. Good call to fire him.

The thing is ..... I don't see a strong candidate in any of them.

Paul can be a charmer, and can sell, but there's also something arrogant and supercilious about him. And, for an apprentice, a salesman will not be enough.

Ruth is a go-getter, but not a team player, in my view, and I'm not convinced she's manager grade either. Sales manager, yes. By heck, yes. Person manager ..... ? I don't think so.

Michele is a lightweight. She lacks strategic thinking, lacks focus, lacks drive and lacks the killer instinct.

Ansell ..... maybe. He certainly has strong moments, but he's made some serious goofs too.

And Syed? Well, my assessment is that he's an arrogant, overbearing, unscrupulous bullpoop artist with occasional flashes of sales genius, but those flashes come from sheer hutzpah, not from thought, planning or management. As an apprentice, he'd be an utter disaster and I will lose all respect for AS if he picks Syed. My biggest criticism is his proclivity for lying to get out of a situation. I wouldn't trust his word if he said the sun would rise in the East tomorrow.

As I said, I'm not impressed with any of them (an an apprentice for an all-round management role), and can only say I'm glad it isn't me that has to hire one, because I wouldn't want any of them.

clearly Syed wont last much longer, he has been poor throughout but managed to blag his way through so far but that will end soon.

I did find it very suspicious that a couple just happened to be browsing & he got a sale near the end though. Perhaps the producers realised they need him a bit longer for the entertainment value ?

Syed really annoys me. I think he was awful this week. Worms his way out of every time he's been up for firing. As Alan said, I think he can be brilliant from time to time, but I don't think that's enough and he's far too arrogant and sneaky for me to like him at all.

Tsung is too soft and yeah he did deserve to go but I'd much rather work with him than syed - he'd **** me off good style if he was my partner.

I think Michelle can be a bit of a bitch and a teeny bit crafty. Doesn't seem to fully understand the concept of teamwork and I think she might try to be too dominating if she was made apprentice and thus would fail in the job.

Paul is pretty cocky and too common for my liking. Says what he thinks people want to hear, rather than his own views and if he was selling something to me, I probably wouldnt trust him one bit.

I think Ruth is amazing - she's doing a great job and so what if she's looking after number one - there's only one job available - like Alan pointed out, he's not employing a team anyway. She has the capability to excel on her own but this ultimately benefits whatever team she's in so I believe she's going to do very well - hope she gets the job!

I don't think they have actually filmed the final episode yet.
They've got it down to two, the winner will be chosen 'live' I believe for the final episode. That's according to Tuan anyway.

Shame he went but Syed does make good TV...

Me either. Paul [from the last series] was on the after-show and he reckoned this lot aren't as good as the last series, and I agree - and I think the audience did, too.

She's a bulldog, great warehouse manager - that hasn't changed :D

He's lied so many times and I'd be interested to see if anyone's picked up on that. Tuan did a good job of putting him down this week and I hope the rest of the folk turn on him now that the most of weaker folk are gone. Hence, I hope Michelle and Syed are on different teams next week and that Syed's team loses :)

i liked sir alans comment at the end, dunn(sp?) is done! :D

as far as sayeed is concerned, he is great to watch and is the stereotype of a closer, if i had something to sell i would want him on the job no doubt. whether or not he is any good or not depends ultimately what he will be doing. if its sales, he is my choice to win.

That's great if you have literally one thing to sell but if you want repeat customers...well, I don't know many people who'd go back to the same person who screwed them / lied to them :)
