The Apprentice

I think Daniel Levy should host the next series. :p

Not funny :p

Sugar ruined spurs.. He obvioulsy thought that because he owned the club that he had a say what went on on the pitch but business and football are distinctively different and this is were the he fell flat really.

The interesting point though is that AS had a very high opinion of Katie. So much so he effectively asked her the question, "Do you want the job? If yes, its yours. If no, then tell me now so I can give it to a lesser candidate, who at least wants it."

Personally though, after seeing the performance of the candidates over the last few weeks, I wouldve chosen Christina over Katie. At least with Christina you know what you are getting - a dedicated hard worker who wants to the job, is likely to stay with the company and is desperate to succeed and impress. If I wanted to take a gamble, I wouldve gone with Simon.

Well, you were right last time and I have no reason to disbelieve you this time.

Obviously during the time Christina and Simon worked for AS, Simon impressed more.

I take it the final has already happened as they showed clips, but has winner already been offered their job?

Well the final task has already happened, but I think the actual picking the winner thing happens this week sometime.

This time it is more conjecture, but I might get some more info later on today. I don't want to post anything spoilerish as I know a lot of people enjoy this show.

He saved spurs, you would be where leeds are now if he didnt save the club and get rid of the Crook you had as a manager. He turned you from a club about to go into administration to a profitable business.

ok that's actually a poor excuse from you. He gave a timeline about the growth of Amstrad which is actually very interesting and shows what a good business man Alan Sugar is.

Tho i do wish that someone else ran the apprentice next year.

Excuse for what?

You need to re read my original post. I never stated anything Sugar was or wasnt. I asked questions about his dealings, hence the question marks after each of my sentences.

Just seen on Sky News that Sugar has sold a £25m stake in Spurs, didn't think he had any shares left.

They have been sold to ENIC btw.

7. Timing is everything. The series is filmed in autumn. Newspaper headlines glimpsed in early episodes date from October, and two candidates came a cropper when trying to sell food to Muslims during Ramadan, which ended in October. Last week's episode showed presenters on a home shopping channel wearing Remembrance poppie

More interesting stuff on the timing and continuity here

And the final two work for Sir Alan before he decides who stays and who goes. Former runner-up Saira Khan has criticised the show because "the final decision is not based on the programme that people see, his final decision is based on these two people who have been working with him for the six months".
see link above

Wow that is a bit ridiculous in terms of the show. But at least it goes to show that they are actually offering someone a proper job so need them to show they are actually capable.

Also loads of people at Amstrad wouldv'e known who the final two are as they would have seen them going into work.

5. Location, location, location. Despite the gratuitous shots of Canary Wharf - visual shorthand for the world of business - Sir Alan has no office in London's Docklands, or, for that matter, the City. Amstrad's head office is in Brentwood, Essex. He has a base in the inauspicious environs of the Mile End Rd, and Viglen - where Wednesday's interviews were conducted - is in Wembley.

true I guess. I just didn't like the way he tried to control things on the pitch as well as off..

he infact made Spurs the first team to be run as a proper business with an actual viable business structure to you it.

And that is coming from an Arsenal fan!

I said all of that about 2 pages ago!!!
Loads of people know who is in the final, but they just keep schtum. I had heard a rumour about how Christina is getting on in her stint in Sir Alan's company ,but it's a bit spoilerish I reckon.
