**The ASrock 939dual-SATA2 (ULi M1695) thread**

Yeah boots no problem with old psu. I've done a windows repair installation - got it working just about - not detecting the ethernet adaptor properly - even when running the exe on the driver disk - but my USB external ethernet adaptor works no problem. Also had to reinstall my nvidia vga drivers.

Will have to test out the overclocking abilities of this board after work tonight!

How did you get on mate? everything running fine now?

Hey guys, need a bit of help here :(

Just got everything running with this board, everything is up to date etc. The only thing is, i cant get programs such as speedfan and everest to work? I need it to display temps, but they just kinda freeze after they've been opened.

Any clues?

Speedfan freezes for me too, normally it works if I leave it a while, Everest is pretty quick to open the sensor page but sometimes it can take a minute or so

i think am gonna wait for the Jetway board, depending on price of course. If Jetways offering is around the same mark, +/- £30 then ill pick it up.

Jetway ... years ago I didn't know any better and ended up having to RMA at least 3 of them.

a Derry City man, am not far from you :p :p

the asrock board is mightly tempting, i wonder if we all put a request for a better BIOS for oveclocking would they pull something out of the bad lol

Where abouts are you then?

The Asrock board is great, the only problem is the max 1.45v core voltage, I'm not brave enough to get a soldering iron to it quite yet.

Maghera mate, about an hour from you, working in Belfast though.

I got my soldering iron stolen by one of my mates, he took it and said he only needed for an hour, 2 years *** and its still "missing"

Hey all

I've just read through the last couple of pages, and couldn't see much about the custom bios' (probably way further back i know)

I just need to know if a custom bios would remove the voltage lock on the board? I need the 1.5v to get my chip to 2.8ghz.

How risky is using a modded bios?

Thanks :)

I don't think any of the modded BIOS's let you increase the voltage past 1.45v, you need to physically mod the board :(
