**The ASrock 939dual-SATA2 (ULi M1695) thread**

Thanks :D

Currently running : 3700+ San Diego@2640Mhz (240x11) 1.45 Vcore on 939

idle Temp 38 Celsius

I don't want to do the Volt mod. 1.45 is the maximum Vcore I can select in the bios.

Any suggestions how far i can push the 3700+ ?

I have not pushed it yet.

All I did was set the max Vcore & set the multiplier to 240x11

I was just wondering what speeds other people getting with the 3700+ San Diego & thi board.

I did the volt mod :D wasn't too hard at all, got 1.55v-1.60v but max I think I can get is 2.7 with mem loose, I have a new Hiper 580w coming today so once that is in I going to push it and see where I can get

Put the ram on to a 166mhz divider and set the cpu - nb link speed to 600mhz.
Also disable Cool n Quiet.

this is such a great motherboard, i just up graded a tbird 1400 using it from an old ali magik1 chipset to the ali one on this mobo and i didnt have to reinstall windows..also installed it into a via mobo install hdd before and it still worked straight off the bat, amazing. Most systems seem to want windows reinstalling after a mobo swap. edit: just noticed it has a 'uli' chipset which ive never heard of...is this ALi's new name?

Just to answer my own earlier question: Over at NVnews.net there are at least 2 forum users claiming that they have a 7950 GX2 working 'flawlessly' with this board.

Yep ULi and ALi are one and the same. I'd avise advise at least a repair install of windows though. Might save you trouble in future.

Try clearing the CMOS and see if it boots properly.

HTH, dagwoood.

Currently running BIOS 180, about 3-10 times when I restart the computer the screen just stays black and the computer is unresponsive. Needs to be switched off at the wall. Is this the cold boot issue that was present in the early BIOS releases?

yes i get the same i was wondering what caused it ? anyway what is the best temp monitoring programme to use with these asrock boards ? :)
