**The ASrock 939dual-SATA2 (ULi M1695) thread**

Has the memory on this board got to be matched or can you run it with a stick of 512 and a stick of 256? (my mates having this board off me and thats all the memory that he's got)

The voltage regulation to the CPU is dire on this board, mine fluctuates between 1.47 and 1.66 when it's set to 1.55. This can't be good for stability. The vreg on my radeon is totally rock solid stable by comparison.

I've had a look around and haven't been able to find any mods to increase the quality of the voltage regulation. Is it time for a different motherboard or are they all like this?

Disco Stu, I can't see anything in the manual that says that memory wont work, but obviously it wont run in dual channel. At the worst it will only have 512mb though.

Motherboard Monitor. It's quite a range though. And there was me on a hunt for an Abit AT8-32X already.

mbm5 is like that with most boards tbh, like i said you cant take anything voltage or temp wise as fact with these monitoring progs

ps , what's vista like
So far, I don't like it. Will need to do a complete overhaul of my PC, felt very sluggish :(

But will give it a year for all the issues that might pop-up/etc to be sorted, maybe even a service pack or 2 :D

ok cheers! have you reverted back to good ole xp?
Running them both. Created a 16GB partition to try out Vista (RC1) :)

To remove it, used VistaBootPRO 3.1 (here), then simply formatted/deleted the partition

The board can't control any fans. It's a 'feature'.

The dual-vsta can control 4 pin pwm fans through the bios, according to Artic cooling website the silencer 64 pro has a 4 pin fan now, my one didn't :(
