**The ASrock 939dual-SATA2 (ULi M1695) thread**

Anyone tried the 2.3 BIOS? It seems to go over 274 HTT, although I haven't tried a new BIOS since OCW beta 1.2. Seem to be getting cold boot problems with 2.3 though.

Any ideas why when I up the FSB using 2.30 it will not save the overclock?

I put the FSB up to 230 just to test and when I save the settings it juts boots at 1.8ghz 200 FSB

3000 venice BTW.

I'm trying to overclock a mates PC and its making me look like a noob.

Any suggestions?

Just installed Vista but I cant seem to get online, do I need a driver update or bios update for the onboard LAN? just reports limited connection or is it a driver for my router I need?

Anyone know of a temp monitoring programs that shuts down the pc if cpu temps run over a predefined threshold? I have a watercooled htpc rig with this mb in it and it runs 24/7, as I run my pump undervolted for silent running there’s a chance the pump will stall, it hasn’t happened yet after 8 months but if it ever does I'd like my pc to simply shut down as soon as temps start to rocket.

Don't all the CPUs from Athlon XP & mobos do this? First they'll throttle down. If that doesn't work, it will immediately shutdown the PC!

yeah, at around 75C the pwm stage cuts the power to the cpu, tbh im looking for a program that shuts my pc down way before 70C. would be cool to have a setting in the bios for this, much like the one on most dfi boards

How do i change the command rate from 2T to 1T, and what will this be doing? i.e what settings will i be needing to overclock once ive swapped it to 1T...

its done in the bios but i dont recommend it unless u got high quality memory
Also 1T will not work with more than 2 sticks of memory
You will find all the info u need in this thread.

The reason why im posting is to let XP64 sata 2 users of this board not to use Asrock's JMicron X64 Sata 2 driver as it only works @ sata1 burst rates!!

Use to more recent Jmicron 207 Sata 2 driver (thats just above it - but not labelled for XP64) and it enables the controller to give proper sata 2 bursts.

It works fine with windows XP64
