The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

B grade price is nice if no dead pixels is true but as above wouldn't risk it with only 90 day warranty and if it does have a dead pixel I doubt you'll be honoured with the guarantee you get buying new.

Not really, one of my guys tested all the b grade monitors and no dead pixels could be found on them, just packaging is blemished

Bailey

That's enough to tempt me in - gonna have to sell a lot of stuff to fund this but the temptation is just too much for me. :p

Will report back once I receive it for other people interested in the B Grade along with general experience. :)

even after 90 days you could probably still RMA direct to asus

Still loving this monitor, the resolution combined with 120hz is just awesome.

Can't recommend enough if your a gamer who wants the smoothest gaming experience.

So am I better playing games at 120hz instead of 144hz?? Or does it depend on each individual game,

I mainly play Planetside 2 with a 780ti

Cheers

I was/am still getting strange stripes in the 3d mode.

I recently sent a swift back because of this and was told that I'd have to wait 25 days until I would get a replacement.

Then I received an email telling me that they will would be sending me out another monitor when in stock.

Noticing that there were some in stock already I phoned OC and they confirmed that they would send out a new monitor on the same day, it was at this time I requested that it be checked before sent for the same defect I had reported before as this would save time and effort and this was agreed.

I received an email stating that a Grade B monitor had been sent out to me.

Yesterday the monitor arrived at my mum and dads house, so my dad moved it to my own address this morning.

Immediately when turning on the monitor (after connected) I have noticed a number of dead pixels on the top left side.

Further to the issue I originally sent the monitor in for the first place which is still evident.

Would I be able to re-rma the monitor?
And does the 3 day pixel guarantee apply in such cases as mine?

Dead pixel cluster 4-5? There's another 2 one at the bottom left and one at the top right and a stuck grey pixel in the middle -.-

I don't think it matters too much with GSYNC. Without GSYNC then higher is better if you can consistently maintain the framerate.

I have found that some games look better in ULMB mode (which is only available in 120hz mode) and some look better with Gsync (which you may as well use the 144hz mode for)

Thanks, Karl.

Those horizontal lines you speak of happens on them all. Even on the desktop you can get them to appear by dragging windows up and down over certain colours. In games it happens on muzzle flashes mostly.

Its just how this monitor is made, its very noticeable in ULMB mode as well.
