The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

Yeah it's an totaly amazing monitor in every way, the perfect colours + g-sync together with 1440P for me is a total game changer, my jaw drops every day as soon I boot up a game, it's that amazing :D

And guys, test out Crysis 2 with the Maldo Highres texture pack, you will be in heaven, crazy super high res crispness :D

I played through Crysis 2 over the last few days and I agree it's simply amazing graphically. Was my first real test of G-Sync too and now I can appreciate the technology, it's a really nice feature to have. Was so impressed in fact that I'm going to continue the journey with Crysis 3 in a few days time. :)

I guess it must be something to do with how the input is routed to the g-sync module. I wouldn't mind at all if there were multiple inputs but only one g-sync capable one.

Hmmm still very tempted by this monitor even though i'm running an AMD card, but heard it's still brilliant on it even without Gsync. And I believe this week there's a little bit knocked off it on the weekly sales.

Yer, you get the sharpness of 1440P with the smoothness of 144Hz and that alone is worth a good few quid. Trying the monitor without G-Sync still see's games running smoothly. Although I couldn't go back to normal gaming without whinging :)

Should have mine next week, looking forward to gsync, doubt it will make battlefield good but I should at least enjoy the buggy pos with more smoothness!

Well I've bought one. Got to see what all the fuss is about. Didn't order from ocuk after the terrible monitor / customer experience I had last time, so I'm giving a competitor a whirl

Wasn't a fan of the light boost tool on the benq, colour and smoothness is key.

Hope it goes better for you wunkley, I did the same. Got to wait a week but decent deal.

Been waiting since Jan, so another week won't hurt!

Can be a little hit n miss, depending who you get, like most companies.

Just better deals to be had elsewhere.

Credit due though, problems in the past do get sorted eventually.... After a bit of a moan

After seeing how OcUK have dealt with guys who have had problems in this thread, I had no hesitation in buying from here.

It seems like the ocuk guys on this forum (like Gibbo etc) are definitely the route to go if you have any problems. I too see their responses and helpfulness, and whilst that's brilliant, it also makes me angry, as there is a lack of consistency across the company it seems.
I dealt direct with someone from customer services via webnote for a previous monitor debacle (an Eizo 2421), and the attitude and all round experience, was truly awful.
I've spent literally 1000's in the last 10 years here but the expereince ****ed me off so much I vowed not to buy from ocuk again, and I haven't. It's a pity, cos I still love the forum :)

I bought one the day before it was reduced :( It's still sitting at home as I was working late last night, and looks like it's going to be the same tonight. Probably won't get a chance to set it up until the weekend.

Christmas Eve is always better than Christmas Day. Savour the anticipation my friend.
Mine is coming tomorrow though, and I have a day blocked out, so nenahnenanah ;)

I've spent ages fiddling trying to get settings I like (and having found this easily on the Samsung 4K, I knew it must be possible on this one too and I wasn't letting "but TN" get in the way)

On the monitor: Brightness 40 (30 at night), Contrast 50, Colour Temp User (R95, G100, B100)

Nvidia Control Panel: Display: Adjust desktop Colour Settings: Use Nvidia Settings
Brightness: 40%
Contrast: 45%
Gamma: 0.8

those are the settings that work best for me, your mileage may vary
